Isn't Der 3. Weg something close to paganism-nationalism? NPD is rather rarely touching issue of religion as far as I know.

Tell me again, why did Germany oppose the new Polish media law? Something related to partisanship, right?

I guess its just part of tendency - Germany lost Eastern ally/goon with PO lose. They just support PO/.nowoczesna/whatever in their struggle against PiS. Although I far as I remember they most aggressive were German politicians but not from the Merkel cabinet but those from EU structures.

Non-Pirate Others seems to have done well.  I guess NPD must have done pretty well which would be surprising given that AfD is running strong.

Nope they didn't. So far this is the results of the ballots counted of the smaller parties:

Die PARTEI: 2,1% (YEAAAAAH!!!!!)
Tierschutzpartei (Animal protection party): 2,0%
Piratenpartei (Pirates): 1,8%
Graue Panther (Pensioners party): 1,1%
NPD: (Nazis) 0,6%
Gesundheitsforschung (Health research): 0,5%
Pro Deutschland (Anti-Islam party): 0,5%
ALFA: 0,4%
DKP (Communists): 0,2%

Everyone else is completely meaningless.

Oh yeah don't make maps until all the results are in. Good advice everywhere, really, really good advice in a city like Berlin.

Fortunately there is nice, actualized map in der Spiegel webpage.

Doesn't seem as if the CDU have made many policy concessions at all. They just gave the SPD some good positions.

How is Scholz? Will he be like Dijsselbloem?

Do you mean if he's gonna act mercilessly towards Southern Europe?
At least he is considered fiscally quite conservative for a SPD member; he is one of the most prominent members of the neoliberal Seeheimer Kreis. Plus, he was the last Social Democrat to win a majority of MPs for his party in a statewide election.

Can't find anywhere information about his membership in Seeheimer Kreis, where did you find that info?

With such trend Greens will have higher support than SPD in few weeks. I last year I thought that SPD can't go lower than 20%

That's not a poll for Brandenburg as a whole, only for the city of Cottbus.

...is there any particular reason why they decided to do a poll of the state election for the city of Cottbus Chóśebuz? Bizarre.

To be honest, why not? In that town during the federal elections CDU got better result over AfD and SPD over die Linke. And as you can see in the poll now there is totally different situation (although I guess land elections can have different patterns etc.).

Apparently there is deal between Merkel and Seehofer, now SPD must agree (or not agree).

That was looming for a long time but there are info that Wagenknecht soon will announce creation of her new political movement. Organisation will be called Aufstehen and as far as I know as for now founders do not want it to be new party but rather political organisation for members of various left-wing organisation. The plot-twist is that organisation is going to be anti-imigrant, obviously to fight with AfD in former DDR terrains.

What are political views of Friedrich Merz? I more or less know Spahn or AKK but I am clueless about third participant in that leadership race.

Extremely conservative. Extremely neoliberal. Very US-orientated. Ardent supporter of the Iraq War and the conscription. Belonged to the 5% of Germans who supported McCain. Pronounced opponent of gay marriage, pro-choice rights and the minimum wage.
His most famous project was the "beer coaster tax system"; that means that he wanted the citizens to be able to make their tax declarations "on a beer coaster".

Merkel and Merz deeply despise each other.

Totally supporting AKK then.
