Pledging is stressing me the heck out. More than halfway through this awful thing. Got like just over two weeks left.

Hows getting your ass slapped by the bros every ten seconds working out?

What makes you think I have time for working out?

And afletich already beat you to the "fraternities are gay" line. Again, I'm not pledging Kappa Delta Rho here.

There's a chance I'll be attending college next fall, instead.

I'm going to have a lot of spare time on my hands.

What's your job situation? While working may suck, especially at the level someone such as ourselves might get, it's the best way to occupy yourself and to make money to fund your gas and food. Also, have you considered community college to get rid of some prerequisites?

I'm looking into a job as a transcriber.  Pay's decent, and it's a job I could do really well.  Trust me.  I want to do more than just post on message boards and read Christian history books over the next ten months. Tongue

And yes, community college is on the table.  Right now, my mom and I have to deal with a bunch of things, many of which are personal/family matters.  We just might not be able to cram college visits and such with everything else.  If my dad were still here, it'd be a completely different story.

Completely understood, on a very real level. Good luck with all of this.

I think I'm gonna grow a beard.

Much encouraged. Smiley

My beard is taking too long to grow. Sad

You said you were gonna consider it on the 28th, dude. Patience.

My beard is ridiculous too. I'm ready to shave it though. It's itching and getting intone way when I eat.

Yeah, I have similar problems.

"Studying" for my Philosophy final. Given how occupied I was most of the day, I've only been able to study tonight, and I have to be over to the classroom at 8 AM tomorrow. That said, as long as I can keep a few core concepts in the front of my head, hopefully I can get a decent grade on it. My assumption is based on what the prof has told us. I have Academic Writing and Algebra on Wednesday. While I've already submitted my final paper for AW, I still have to give a presentation, so those two subjects will occupy my afternoon tomorrow, I suppose. Nevertheless, looks like I'll be partying Thursday night (some chick(s)'s birthday is happening at the Sigma Pi house) and then Monday night (end of finals!), so not everything's bad. Taking 18 credits next semester. Also, some people are telling me I could pull if I weren't so lazy. Might have to look into that.

Don't remember last night at all. Spent the entire day sleeping, eating, and recovering. Been awake about 3.25 hours as of now, longest stretch in a while.

Room mate moved out today, taking the TV and futon with him. Luckily, a pledge brother of mine is also losing a room mate, so it looks like I'm set for the next semester.

Finished my Speech exam in 14 minutes. Here's hoping speed implies accuracy.

Grabbed lunch at B-Dubs with a friend after my last exam. Packed up, evacuated campus via my family's mini-van. Grabbed a deep dish at Como's, an Italian restaurant in Fernadale, for dinner, got home. Now watching "Pi".

Question for my fellow beardmen: is it normal for large patches of one's chin area to be completely bare while everything else grows at roughly the same rate?

Depends on the person. I was blessed with roughly equal growth, though there was a slight imbalance in favor of one side that seems to have largely evened out. Some are not so lucky. Sad

Shaved.

Did eating become too tedious?

Was forced to by the mother. Got a haircut as well. I now look like a five year-old chemo patient. Hopefully I can grow back enough by the time break ends, but I have a feeling I'll have to settle.

The Sigma Pi fraternity house got broken into, which isn't all that surprising given its location. Unsure as of yet how this will affect plans for a New Year's party there.

Was anything taken? Or were the burglars chased off?

TV and computer, it looks like, and the rooms were trashed.

I'm hardly worried about that.

Back in Davisburg after a long odyssey in and around the Detroit area. 'Twas a successful night all around.

Apparently, some "fat girl" has my states cross country hoodie from senior year. When I found this, my day was ruined. There's no reason said ambiguously referred to person should be anywhere associated with my memory of the night, and to my knowledge, she isn't.

I got a very nice New Years text from a girl I barely know and haven't really spoken with at all since she left my school last year. Somehow (I never had the chance to tell her, keep in mind) she knew how absolutely horrible the year 2013 was for me and sent me her best wishes for 2014.  I got the text at 5:58 AM, and it made my day. Iím still kinda wondering if she sent it to the wrong person or something, because it was so out of the blue Tongue.

You reply to it?
