Sorry about your cat, TiK. Glad your day got better towards the end Smiley

Anyway, I had my first car "accident" today. As I was backing out (trying to avoid hitting my friend, who was leaving behind me) I hit the van next to me. Despite hitting it fairly hard, I got out and saw that there was not a single spot that looked damaged. A tiny paint chip was missing near the bumper, but I don't think that was where I hit. My car had do damage either. I waited around for the owner to return, and it was a mother with her five children (ranging from a High School senior to a three year old). We talked for a bit, I repeatedly apologized, and she said was very pleasant and said that it was not worth even taking down information. So I am glad that it wasn't any worse.

Went to a local bands music video shoot at the request of a friend. A bunch of goth/emos were there, and I had nothing in common with them accept for this guy who loved Bob Dylan. My friend showed up late, I milled around a bit, but the director was in a pissy mood and didn't like all the spectators, so I smoked a ciggarette on the roof and left.

It turns out that a woman missing in our area is the mother of one of my cousins friends. A body has been found, but they are waiting for identification. Pretty awful stuff.

My computer had 87 trojan horses removed today. I got them Tuesday night from a blog I visit all the time. I am still kind of paranoid about visiting any other website besides Atlas Tongue.

..yes. I'm not hugely into porn anymore, but looking back, of all the sites I have visited, this one would be among the last I would suspect to get a virus from.

Hell, my autistic brother watches the Bearnstein Bears on Chinese video sharing websites every Sunday and he never gets even a warning from my anti-virus software.

Last night was particularly interesting. It was my law school's fall formal, and I went against my better judgment, because most of these events end with a disaster. Last time, it was the reunion between myself and my former girl, and I knew she'd be there this time, and she was, but she came with girlfriends, so I was happy she is still alone. I'm awful.

The ball itself was fun. I saw all my buddies and pals and drank a lot of bourbon. This one smoking hot girl who I've known for a bit came up to me before I left and told me I was looking handsome and asked why I didn't take her as my date. Then she let me touch her fantastic ass. My god. It was the best one I have ever felt. I told her I'd take her to spring formal, so we'll see.

Afterwards though, the night got weird. I go to school with a girl who really, really liked me a few summers ago and stalked me for a months afterwards. She's engaged now though. My friends and I went to a bar and saw her completely hammered flirting with some old guy, and the bar tender asked us if we knew her and to get her some help. She saw me walking past her bar chair and followed us outside.

She started telling us her mom died a few weeks ago and she was devastated, then preceded to pin me against the wall and grind herself on my crotch, telling me I should've dated her years ago, her fiancee was out of town for the week, and I could come stay with her and he'd never know, and she could let out all her feelings on me that she's held for three years.

She then told us she was going to drive home, which wasn't going to happen, so I offered to take her home. She came with me, I dropped her off at home, and got the f**k out of there before she could take off her clothes. Her fiancee is an idiot.

Anyway, true to form, disaster followed my formal, but oh well. It was a story to tell. Wink
Is this stalker girl attractive? Sometimes a bit of crazy adds some spice to life.

Good man, Dukey.  Sometimes the little brain wins the battle and with a crazy engaged chick that would be a mess.

Yeah, I didn't want to be THAT guy that sleeps with engaged girls. That's something the slutty girl I was with last would do and have no problems doing it, but I still have a moral compass of some sort.

And Sanchez, yes, she is attractive. I don't mess around with uglies. Regardless, that isn't something I want to do. I'm sure I could have done it, but I don't want to date that girl and I don't want to break up someone's engagement either. That's not my style at all.
Can you have your own Update, Duke? You’re much more interesting than the whole Bushie saga and instead of jeering you, most of us would (hopefully) be rooting for you. It would positive and entertaining.

Thanksgiving whipped my ass Tongue.

We woke up to a dead pit bull (or pig??) under our dock, and my late grandmother's cousin's girlfriend's son tricked me into helping him try to pull it out from the water, which the family did not appreciate. I was told my dad wanted it gone, so I just did what I was told, and everyone freaked the f[inks] out, so that was rather awkward.

My dad's sister and her husband and son came. They brought four bottles of this really bad champagne that nobody liked, so my Aunt and Uncle got hammered. My mom's aunt and my maternal grandma were so revolted by the taste that they wanted me to finish it for them.

My baby cousin from my mother's side was around, and that was fun. She's two now, and her sister is due on Christmas Day. My little brother came home from the group home and enjoyed seeing her, before shutting us all off and hiding in the room on this computer.

I listened to Alice’s Restaurant in the garage on a small radio to escape the madness, but it was still an awesome holiday. Everybody stayed really late this time, which was different. It was also our first thanksgiving (and major family gathering) without our grandma, who passed in May, though that really wasn’t dwelled upon too much.

No political arguments or discussions at all, which was bizarre since everyone in my family is political.

Me and my brother just discovered that champagne is pretty strong Tongue. Especially after a whole bottle.

Hey now. Get the aspirin ready, champagne is a rough hangover.

I am organizing the music for my mother-in-law's 60th birthday party. A bit of the obvious.. Beatles, Rolling Stones, with some Janis Joplin thrown in and, hell, some Jimmy Barnes for good measure for the old Aussies. Besides a few singles I've downloaded myself over the years, I'm out of solid ideas. I need help. I've looked up the chart-toppers for the mid to late 60's and early 70's, but I want to know much more than just the #1's. There must have been great songs that didn't reach the top that people remember. I want stuff that was huge that they don't even play often on the Oldies stations anymore. I'm probably over-thinking it.
I recommend by personal favorite group, The Band.

My grandma had a small heart attack this morning. She should be alright, but I am very close to her and am incredibly nervous. She didn’t tell anybody about it until a few hours ago, and her ankles were severely swollen. She did not want to go to the hospital, but my Aunt (who is a nurse) insisted she go to the ER. Anyway, I’m praying my grandma will make a quick recovery.

Oddly enough, while my mother, aunt and grandmother went over to take my grandmother to the hospital, my mom’s stepsister showed up unexpectedly. She was on her way to visit her brother (who co-owns my grandma’s awning company), so now everyone’s going to be finding out through the rumor mill Tongue.

The good news is that my mom’s half brother and his wife had another little girl two days ago. Their older daughter, who just turned two, was none too happy about it. I tried to hit my brother with a plastic sippycup when he was born, so I guess it runs in the family Tongue.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother - she will be in my prayers. Grateful it was nothing more serious! Hope you have a happy Christmas, Sanchez.
Thanks Smiley. She is in stable condition, and should be released tommorow. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well.

The Sigma Pi fraternity house got broken into, which isn't all that surprising given its location. Unsure as of yet how this will affect plans for a New Year's party there.
Was anything taken? Or were the burglers chased off?

I got a very nice New Years text from a girl I barely know and haven't really spoken with at all since she left my school last year. Somehow (I never had the chance to tell her, keep in mind) she knew how absolutely horrible the year 2013 was for me and sent me her best wishes for 2014.  I got the text at 5:58 AM, and it made my day. I’m still kinda wondering if she sent it to the wrong person or something, because it was so out of the blue Tongue.

You reply to it?
I sent a thank you/Happy New Year text back later in the day (I didn’t actually open and respond to the text until like 4:00 PM because I was busy, but I read it on my screen when it first popped up), and she read it but didn't respond. I know her well enough to know that her not responding wasn't an act of scorn, however. Usually my social anxiety kicks in and I obsess on why the other person didn’t respond, but that wasn’t the case tonight.

Had a filling put in early this morning, and attended a Transcendental Meditation seminar tonight. The course is $1400, but with a January "New Year" discount and the discount that comes with the recommendation from my shrink, the price is down to $500. My mom and dad, to my amazement, are willing to pay for it and are actually pushing me to do it.

I had a weird dream last night involving fireworks, jumping across Washington rooftops, and romancing a Senator.  Unfortunately I woke up before I got to see if the actual fireworks the dream began with would lead to figurative fireworks with her.

So the girl I have been interested in since last year approached me today and told me she wants to take one of my best friends to the Sadie Hawkins style homecoming dance. I'm not too concerned for anyone but myself, because I immediately began to go into Lee Atwater mode and started plotting how I can get ahead in this situation without throwing my friend (who has no real detectable interest in this girl) under the bus.

Were gonna go see Inside Llewlyn Davis tonight, so I am going to work it from there.

Just got back from the movies. I drove in the worst rain I have ever seen. My street is flooded FOUR FEET, and it took me three hours driving home only to flood out in my f[inks]ing driveway. Saved everything (including the damn ciggeretes) but my gas pedal is a foot underwater. My school up the road is on the side of Palm Beach County's one and only "hill" and is probably flooded out too. So three day weekend. I think.

Inside Llewlyn Davis was worth it.

Apparently, I was caught in a flash flood. Anyways, this morning my dad and I pulled my car out from three and a half feet of water. The motor was working just fine, thank God, so we spent the day vacuuming out the car. Not a single thing was damaged besides some old Lowery Organ songbooks that I took from my late grandmothers house almost a month ago.
