The gubernatorial election will hinge on how the presidential race goes.

If the presidential election is at least Lean R, McCrory is safe.  If it's a tossup or starts to Lean D, McCrory should start to get nervous.

I'm disappointed by the results, but a major thank you goes to Governor McCrory for never stopping to fight for conservative values when it would have been so easy to cave into the pressure of the left!

And he deservedly got booted by voters for his "valiant fight". Yes!!!!. The FIRST NC governor to lose reelection since it became legal))))

Bev Perdue in 2012?
She chose not to run for another term.
