Tillis says he will not run for re-election in 2020, IF he cannot get his bipartisan Criminal Justice Reform bill passed.

Somehow I don't think he'll hold to that. Still, a rare time I'm finding myself in agreement with Thom Tillis of all people.

Swing State Republican Parties, for some reason, embrace the most radical elements of conservatism - I mean there are more moderate Republican leaders in the Dakotas (Hoeven, the Microsoft guy), Tennessee (Alexander, Haslam), South Carolina (Haley), Mississippi (Cochran), and even Georgia where Nathan Deal vetoes the occasional insane bill.
