We are catching up quick to the past Senate in terms of amendments. We are also tearing through bills. IF this paced were maintained, queue backlog would be nonexistant. The most shocking think is that it sped up after an election.

We had a lot of controversial bills up at the same time, which are hard to get through when you have a body where only half are participating and the other half only show up to kill the progress of the working half. Since then we've had a lot more non-controversial bills, hence the quick pace. Wink

Yes. That is true. The activity levels of the Senators remained the same, but the change in the bills, increased the productivity attained from the same level of activity because they were smaller and had larger amounts of support. Since the activity level of the Senators was at the typically post election pace prior to the Senate, an increase was thus possible afterwards when the type of bills shifted.

We have also failed two pieces of legislation, both dealing with Court Reforms, this time compared to 6 to 8 last time.

It's interesting to note the difference between Average Senate Approval and the Approval of the Senate overall:

Overall:
39% Approve
54% Disapprove
7% Unsure

Average:
61% Approve
37% Disapprove
2% Unsure

It seems like the distance is a little less exaggerated than usual due to 4 out of 10 Senators having a negative rating (two in the 20s and 10s), but nevertheless.
