This poll is just for Democrats.   If you could prevent the election of just one Republican President from our entire country's history, who would you choose to prevent?

NOTE:  Chester A. Arthur and Gerald Ford are not included in this poll because they never actually were elected president themselves.

Coolidge, though for some reason he's not on the list. He wasn't elected initially, but was elected later.

I tried to consider someone other than Bush, then I remembered reality. Bush sucks, he's dangerous, and there's little to check and balance him. He's too ideological and thinks God wanted him to serve.

I totally agree. I almost said Reagan, but Bush 43 takes the cake, and we're not even 60% of the way done with this guy and I already think he's worse than Reagan. I am surprised that there are 25 votes cast in this poll at this time and 16 of them are for Bush. Maybe it's just living in the moment as to why everyone is trending this way, but I can honestly say I was never as partisan as I am today because of Dubya.

I would never be one to question someone else's beliefs, but there are 2 votes for Lincoln at this point. Why would someon say Lincoln? I realize there was a civil war, but I think Lincoln was only doing the right thing in the first place in attepting to preserve the union, and civil war was inevitable.

I did vote for Reagan, because getting rid of him is 3 birds with one stone. No Bush I Vice-Presidency = No Bush I Presidency = No Bush II Presidency

But if you can only eliminate one without taking into account the effect on history, definately George W. Bush.
