Franzl, 2008 I think I remember endorsing Obama right away.

not true.

in late 2007 you were going by the screen name 'a very clinton christmas'

I stand corrected, but still it was a Democrat, going against Franzl's supposition.

Which state's primary will you be voting in in 2016, Bushie?  You'll be living in Kansas City by then?

Probably Oklahoma, but it could be Missouri.  Outside shot it could be Kansas.

Would supporting Chris Christie in a GOP presidential primary make Bushie more left wing than any of his friends and family in Oklahoma?

A Christie-Clinton race in Oklahoma would easily be the most competitive there since Clinton-Dole in '96. Christie is not a good fit for the state.

...That doesn't mean Oklahoma is going to prefer Hillary.

Oklahoma would still probably go for Christie, but the margin may be closer to 55-45 in a Christie vs. Clinton matchup.  Oklahomans generally like Hillary, but she's been tainted with the Obama smell in many of Oklahoman's eyes., so that may hurt her numbers.  Christie is not a good fit, either, for Oklahoma, but since he has an R next to his name and not a D, that gives him a big boost.  The one thing, though, that may happen in such an election is that the Democrats may start to come back at the State Level.  In fact, I can see a Democrat winning the 2014 State Superintendent race for Oklahoma.  Our current Republican Superintendent, Janet Barresi, is hated nearly as much as Obamacare and, dare I say it, Obama himself.  She is likely to get creamed in 2014.  She is also hurting Gov. Fallin at the same time, so she's not as big of a shoe-in as one might think for Oklahoma.

For what reasons? Given that you were compelled to start a thread announcing this, it would make sense to explain your position.

This link provides the major contributing factor and explains the reasoning behind my decision.  I agree with Him on this issue.  This has been developing since he made his decision on this issue in September.  This is not some spur of the moment decision.

So you support Christie because he opposes gay marriage but not enough to actually do anything about it? That's the bold policy stance that's won your 2016 support?

Christie has been a thorn in the side of gay marriage activists in New Jersey and a total roadblock ever since he got elected. I don't buy that he really supported it but acted opposed to keep conservatives happy. There was no double speak in any of the comments he's ever made about the issue that indicates that he's lying about his opposition.

He may have opposed gay marriage, but he's always been a leading supporter of the union between peanut butter and chocolate.  Woot!  fat joke.

I will be supporting Chris Christie, come 2016. Ted Cruz may be a possibilitie tho.
Christie and I's Italian Republican army will have already buried Cruz by then, possibly in a field in Texas or under an endzone at Metlife stadium.
