Generally I would vote Labour; However at the next election I am likely to vote tactically to help the Greens save their deposit in my constituency (Oxford West and Abingdon).

UK Independence Party if I lived in England, SNP if I lived in Scotland, Plaid  Cymru if I lived in Wales, Sinn Fein if I lived in Ulster.

UK Independence Party if I lived in England, SNP if I lived in Scotland, Plaid  Cymru if I lived in Wales, Sinn Fein if I lived in Ulster.

You do know that Plaid Cymru are socialists who voted against the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars, and that Sinn Fein is also incredibly left wing?

I wouldn't call the Nats socialists (they're record on RCT CBC was more or less the opposite) but they've been using the word to try to get votes.

I will add that their Parliamentary leader (Llwyd) is insane

Much like the US, the choices in the UK are crap, but I would go with the Lib Dems.

Well I hear Respect is supposedly the most leftist but they're also heavily affiliated with Muslim groups, and I'd never vote for a Muslim party.

I think I'll just go with Labour.

www.labour.org.uk
www.libdems.org.uk

Or you could pick a real party, and not one of the "important" ones.

If the country went as the forum does- these would be the seat numbers (from Martin Baxter's site):
Conservatives 2 (!)
Labour 424
Lib Dem 189

Would probably vote Conservative but would give a serious look at Labour.

Generically Tory.
With the right candidate perhaps Labour.

Forgot about them. Err...Respect vs. the BNP is like choosing between the NSDAP and the KPD in the Weimar Republic. Grin

These are two more than the UK needs.

I'll go create a poll Grin

As for me, ... all else equal and tactical considerations thrown overboard, I'd *probably* vote Green or LD, might return to Labour if they sack their leader.
But things being as they are, I can't make up my mind on who to vote for unless you tell me
a) what constituency I'm in (ie, which parties stand a chance of winning)
b) which other parties are standing
b) what wing of their respective parties the Labour and LD candidates are from.
