Wouldn't this be a fun Missouri Senate race?

Opebo/Akin, if all we're discussing is a single Senate seat from Missouri.

Certainly it is a Republican American state.  And yes obviously Clay Akin would win handily against me, even if he were actually accused of committing the r-crime.

A bit too far. I think in the event there really was no write-in option and no third parties and it was you against an outright rapist with acceptable political views, you would win. It wouldn't be a landslide, but you would win.

Akin/Akin. And I'm not going to pretend to be ashamed of that or anything. He sad something stupid and uninformed, okay? If doing that disqualifies one for political office, then well... (on a side note, opebo really only counts as a little dis-qualified)

You are an optimist and a very kind man.  But it would probably depend upon whether I could avoid the lions issue, the guillotining issue, and of course some other issues which I cannot even mention here in fantasy-land!

Given the issue at hand I'm not entirely sure if there's much to chose between the candidates.
