*walks up to podium, straightening his tie*

Needless to say, after this Constitution/Region Map difficulties have been sorted out, and when there aren't elections going on, there needs to be SOMETHING for whatever administration is in power (besides the rare occurence of something legite in the forum) to "deal" with.

It has been mentioned before by others, but I wanted to bring it up once again, in hopes that we may actually be able to begin work on something like an "Event Writer" or maybe a small group of 1-3 neutral individuals who will, essentially, create hypothetical situations for the presidential administration to deal with. Whether it be an international or domestic problem, something that requires a vote in the senate, or something that requires actions and statements by the president, his cabinet, etc...There should be some sort of event writer to create situations that will allow an incumbent president to run off of for elections, and in turn (of course), give his/her opposition something to attack them on, should they see fit.

I would just like to inform the entire forum that President Nyman supports the use of an "event writer" and encourages anyone who is interested in perhaps taking on the job to begin flushing out ideas. I will be taking questions for the next 1/2 hour tonight, and continue tomorrow.

Make it tri-partisanness!

Oh, BTW, why don't we make it a panel of 3... 1 Dem, 1 Rep, and 1 Pro?  It would be balanced!

You need 1 persn to run election, keep order and post events; three is too complex.

that person can come from any party, but they must be non-partisan once they are in the position.

I was thinking one person too, Hughento.

I'm sure that even a person who supports a specific candidate can at least make an honest effort to be non-partisan once they're in the position. That's why we're taking volunteers here.

Obviously the person is exempted from voting, so it doesnt really matter what their views are, although once they are in the position, they need to be non-partisan.

If I could get support, i'd be more then willing to do this-it was my idea after all, so i think i'll be able to do it properly Wink

If you're willing to give up voting privileges and the like, then we would be very willing to give you a shot. Of course, we want to run this by  a good majority of the forum voters, so they see this. Keep this thread toward the top.

I totally support this.  I think 3 people might be better than 1, but it sounds good either way.  Maybe we could recruit someone from outside the Fantasy Forum.

I have no objections to Hughento, but I thought he was running for Senate.

If that happens, can we extend the filing deadline???  Which seems rather arbitrary, anyway.  I didn't want to run against you, Hughento, but if you are not running, well, that changes everything!

Doesn't matter who suggested it, the point is that the Nym Administration is trying to implement it.

How so? We're not talking about an actual moderator for the fantasy forum, we're talking about someone to do what I said in my original post.
