Exactly one year after Newtown, no less.

It’s not as big of an event as the media are putting it out to be. I suspect it was a gang fight/gang hit. If the school was filled with dead bodies, the students would be much more restless on the track course.

Of course Newtown had only one reported injury at the beginning.

What is it with suburban Denver and mass shootings?

Wonder how CO feels about this after reacting badly to gun control laws passed earlier this year. I would like to see some polling to see if this changed things.

It probably won't change much sadly. Even after Columbine and Aurora they did it.

The Alex Jones crowd will probably say it was a false flag event to drum up support for gun control. Bonus points if they compare it to the Reichstag Fire or something.

The shooter had political motives. I'm glad this wasn't blamed on the Tea Party like most shootings, because the irony would be too painful.

To be completely frank, he seems like he could've been a member of this forum. Not that he reminds me of any users here, its just that his character definitely seems like one we all can identify with to an extent.

I was thinking the same thing. I can't think of a single member here capable of hurting a fly, but this guy could have fit right in. Frankly, he seemed like an interesting guy, and had I went to the same school with him, I very well might have been in his social circle.

Wow. The shooter reminds me of several posters I know and even several of my acquaintances at school. I hope nobody tries to politicize what happened.

Well, now that we've found out the shooter was pro-gun control, the media will move on from this story fairly fast.

I sincerely hope you get banned. That is a disgusting, ignorant attempt to politicize an awful event in the worst light possible. You seriously want us to forget the victims of a shooting because the shooter was pro-gun control??? I really hope you think about what you just said, because it is the worst post I have ever read on this forum.
