25. The Constitutional Get Your Kids Involved in School Act
26. The Constitutional We'll Miss You Act

I also request that the Repeal of the Pacific for the Children Act of 2006 be moved up in the queue. I will provide text for these bills when I have more time.

Okay, I second your nomination for Speaker. I need to discuss the lawsuit with Tyrion, but I believe BK already ruled on this matter, specifying that we our currently a body of 3 councillors. I'm currently searching for candidates.

Done. Not sure about clogging or the state of the Council right now, so I'll hold off for the moment. I think IF we have the people to pass it, we can just pass it, and then get to the stuff that's tailed off.

I sympathize with the necessity of your exec order, but am worried about how that could be abused in other circumstances. I wish we could build an argument that says that this is a really unique situation, and admit that beyond that it would be unconstitutional, but I'm not sure how to do that yet.
That's why I introduced the Executive Order Restriction Act. I don't really believe that it's unconstitutional in its current form.

These were bills recently passed in the Midwest, and their unemployment rate has recently dropped. We are in desperate need of these bills here in the Pacific.

Do we even have an annual budget?
It's an awful budget, but here it is. https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/Pacific_Budget_FY2013

Okay, how do we want to proceed? Do we want to change to three councillor or just proceed under the ruling until things pick up or we are consolidated? I think the ruling gives us a lot of leeway.

Then, do we want to bump some of those threads - I know a couple of them I have started votes on, so I guess it will be Flo and me (they are now, I think, toward the bottom of page 2). I would say that we need 2 of 3 votes to pass anything, which would be Flo and me.
I think we need a new thread for the Great Reform Amendment; the original one was getting too long. It should be of note that the current text for that amendment is not in the OP. The other ones should be fine to be bumped. First, we need to vote on the Fix the Council Amendment, so we can actually be a legitimate body.

Where can one find the RACO and can it be added to the wiki? I can get around to adding it if you link me to the text and amendments but it might be a while
All statute is already added to the wiki. Here is the statute page. RACO was passed under Governor Spamage's 2nd term. https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/Pacific_Statute

(in the wiki page could my name please be Flo instead of the name I chose in 2011?)
Okay, but I'm not sure how to link you to your wiki page under the name Flo.

[[Flo]] would work! Both names link to the Flo page Smiley
Okay, great! I will do that for all future voting records.

Before I call for a vote on the Fix the Council Amendment I would like to be installed formally as Speaker. It appears to require a majority. So I'll nominate myself for Speaker.

If we can do it here, the vote is Yes. We don't need a thread for that, do we?
We can do it here.

Why do we only have one discussion thread open?
Because we have to officially become a council of three before we do anything else. Plus DemPGH isn't officially speaker yet.

I withdraw sponsorship of the Resolution concerning Currency and the Safety in Motorcycling Act. I just realized they are covered by federal law. Tongue

I'd like to request that the first bills in the queue are the Great Reform Amendment, the Repeal of the Pacific for the Children Act, and the job creation bills. (Currently 29-34) I'm fine with everything else going in the current order.

I move to have the Great Reform Amendment and the Pacific Budget 2014 fill the remaining spots on the floor.

I move for the Repeal of the Pacific for the Children Act of 2006 to fill the next spot in the queue. This seems like an unimportant bill, but the IDS repealed a similar law regarding the Pacific under the condition that we would repeal this in 2013.

These were repealed by the Repeal of Everything We Don't Need Act for being passed through unconstitutional methods. I'm reintroducing them because I still think they're good bills.

I am amending Bartelomé Day because apparently we didn't celebrate Columbus Day in the first place. Tongue
