Absolute HP as a person and as president. Even if he did support a small and limited federal government.

One of the last great titans of American supremacy. We are living in a fallen era, gentlemen, where icons like Andrew Jackson and Teddy Roosevelt no longer stride the earth. Much like Greece after its golden age, their gods long having abandoned them, we sit here in a decaying world, slowly awaiting death at the hands of our deserving betters.

Approve of his antagonism toward the Bank of the United States. Disapprove of his threats against nullification and buying votes with the land of the Cherokee.

The only real appropriate answer, given that he wanted to run roughshod over Congress and the Judiciary to get his agenda passed.

HP. John Quincy Adams was clearly the better President, even if the 1824 election was kind of questionable.

He sent troops to SC to end the nullification issue.
Also, his Indian policies were disgusting.

HP.

Sending troops to South Carolina was a good thing. If anything he was too cautious. Hanging Calhoun and the rest of those traitors then and there might have prevented the bloodshed of 1861-1865.

An embarrassment undeserving of memorial via currency and a truly horrible man and President, yes, in the context of his era and with full hindsight. His only reedeming act was beating that dude with a cane, that's badass.
