Are you suggesting that the US having a much higher murder rate has everything to do with poor minorities and nothing to do with gun laws?

Because it has to do with both. I apologize for ignoring race relations in my reasoning, but it's true. When poors have easy access to firearms, only bad can come of it. (To be on the safe side though, no one should have easy access to firearms.)

Exactly Tender, it's all about guns. Americans just don't "get it".

Oh, if we're only counting guns, my murder rate is zero.  Haven't killed anyone so far this year if we're just counting guns.

Hmm... Oakland comes in at 127 for a population of about 400,000.. equals 0.32 per 10,000 people. AKA roughly 6 times the national rate.
