I think Granholm has Michigan if the election was held today.

Barring any surprise developments, Granholm will win fairly easily with 55-60% of the vote.

Granholm landslide. The Dutchman will be lucky to crack 40 percent.

Granholm should have a bitter campaign season, but will win pretty handily.  I predict 54-43.

The Republicans have their eyes on Stabenow, not Granholm.

I voted Granholm.  I don't know what I would do if my favorite US Governor wasn't in office!  I don't even want to think about it!!!

Hoogendyk.

Sympathy vote.  First, for having no votes.  Second, for having that last name.

New Granholm job approval

Approve  55%
disapprove 32%

of course Granholm is not going to lose.

Potential race

Granholm    47%
Dick DeVos  32%

I was suprised that Granholm is under 50%
In case you didn't know DeVos is a Businessman and was CEO of Alticor and Amway and big republican party donor. Also his wife was chairwoman of the Michigan republican party.

I hope the republicans don't run DeVos,  A former CEO doesn't seem like it will play well with people.  They don't exactly have a great image.  Although that doesn't mean they wouldn't do a good job.  Also he has no government experience.

Personally I would go with Nancy Cassis a State Senator of
Novi (Oakland county) she's served 6 years in the state house and been in the senate since 2002.  Of all the candidates she's the best, of course she will still lose.

The republicans can't allow a complete Granholm blowout with the state house and senate up. The democrats have a better chance at the state house 58-52, i don't know the senate composition.  The republicans took the state house on Engler's coattails in 98.  The republicans need a soild candidate to make sure it doesn't happen to them.

I don't see Granholm losing this election.  She would really have to f something up between now and election day.
