i dont think mfume will get 47-48%...if the republican nominee is at least halfway decent.

mfume is a pretty radical person.

If he didnt he would get pretty close.  Blacks will come out in DROVES to vote for him and most partisan democrats in the state will vote for him just like any other democratic candidate.  But I see where your comming from.  Most moderate democrats and left leaning independents would take a REALLY hard look at the Republican candidate because they probably think Mfume would cater more to the African-American population rather than the entire state of Maryland.  Im undecided on this issue.  Part of me thinks he will favor the African-American community rather than the entire state, but I want to believe he will give equal attention to all Maryland citzens. What do you think?  Cater to African Americans or Equal?

Michael Steele is still undecided. Ill admit, Ive been wrong alot latley.  I predicted Sarbanes wouldnt retire and a couple other things that turned out to be wrong, but I truly believe Steele will not risk running on his own for a senate seat, which he would be a long shot to win.  He and Ehrlich are in decent to good shape for re-election and Steele wants to be governor in 2010.  I think he will run with Ehrlich again in 2006.
