Getting Rid of Your Original Username

I see some of you guys don't have your original usernames below your clickable, current usernames like Cathcon for example. Is it possible to get rid of it somehow and/or replace it with some other name? I ask this because I'm running in Atlasia and my prior, negatively infamous "Adam ObAwesomeBiBerg" name could hurt my credibility.

I think the reason it doesn't display is because the display name is the same as the username.

Out of curiosity, why would your name hurt you?

You could make a new account and have it merged, but you would probably need some higher approval. I don't think it would be a problem but it might be seen as not worth the trouble.

You could also ask Dave to change your name using the Email link at the top of this page, but whether he would do it a separate question.

I believe Dave has changed usernames by request when the username was the person's actual name, and they wished their name to be private.
