Ehhhhh... I might actually veto this one if it passes the Althing, and not only because of how unexpected this bill is. I mean, is this even constitutional?

Midwest would be the first region to have this typology of law?

I think so, but I don't think we should be leading the nation on this...

Why?

Well, I honestly think that if we are going to discuss this issue (which seems unlikely, given that lack of contact with extraterrestrial life forms), we should do in the national level, I don't think it's up to the Most Serene Republic to actually legislate about aliens. That for one side, and the other one is that is bill, no matter how serious, it's unlikely to be taken seriously by the rest of the nation, even if that is a small concern.

You did say we need a little more wacky.

Yeah, but isn't this going a little bit too far? xD

Well, I'll offer an amendment:

Some extra words, a few mentions to our Most Serene Republic and a small change in language. Nothing really important, but I guess it's better to be more detailed when dealing with this.

Being honest, I think I'm leaning more and more on the veto possibility as we keep discussing this, even if I offered an amendment myself...

And if you veto this bill, I will try to override this. There's nothing wrong with this bill, and I don't understand this opposition.

In all fairness, Windjammer, this bill is a little bit frivolous in comparison. Somebody gave the example of Napoleon's cloning bill earlier, and we have other things to discuss (like your Labor proposals or Arturo's bills, plus the soon to come Brewer's bill and my High Speed Rail bill to come today) in the Althing that are of more immediate concern.

The goal of the bill is to cover contingencies, yes, but can we really cover them like this? Not only we are into an unknown zone, we are doing something that I believe is out from the reach of the Most Serene Republic of the Midwest. Perhaps it's even out of the reach of our Federal Government, and it probably should be dealt with international organisms via the SoEA.

Apparently, yes, but I'm confident that it will not pass the veto override.
