This will be a continuing forum poll. In this poll you may vote for 15 cities. Every week several of the lowest scores will be dropped and a new poll will be created. The first city to reach 50% wins. If you feel that any cities should be introduced, mention them and if they receive multiple posts I will include them in the next poll.

I'd say Phoenix, Arizona! Smiley If not, then I guess Miami, Florida or Atlanta, Georgia. Even a Texas city could be interesting, though 2020 will probably be an even more exciting prospect for heading to Texas. Smiley However, if Wendy Davis will be elected governor, then Texas surely should be chosen. Wink New Orleans is also an interesting idea, especially in the case Republicans go for Jeb Bush. The combination of Bush atop of the ticket and Democrats staging their convention in New Orleans will remind both journalists and the general public of the atrocious handling by W of hurricane Katrina.

Btw, I voted for these 10 cities which I think will all be fairly/more than average welcoming (as in more than average trending) to Hillary: Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Memphis, Miami, New Orleans, Orlando, Phoenix, San Antonio and Tampa. Virginia Beach could of course be an interesting spot as well, though I barely chose not to vote for it this time. Also, I would have liked to see Denver on the list. Sad

I didn't include it because they just had it in 2008. I didn't include Charlotte for the same reason.

You don't list Milwaukee here, even though they've expressed interest, and has in fact been floated as a one of the frontrunners:

Swing states get enough attention. Conventions shouldn't be beholden to the current political paradigm. I only voted for West Coast cities. I'll give way a bit and put San Diego as my top choice.

Why the hell would you host a convention in a godawful "city" like Phoenix or Atlanta, or God forbid Dallas?

Hey now, Atlanta's a good city. Unprepared for cold weather, perhaps, but a good city.

Eh, my objection is that it isn't a major city so much as an urban core surrounded by vile sprawl (I doubt you're big on Forsyth County either, for instance Tongue). Granted, much of that is due to the old city no longer existing since 1864.
