It's an internet poll, but it's the only thing we've got so far so it'll have to do.

State Rep. Anesa Kajtazovic - 66%
State Rep. Patrick Murphy - 20%
Cedar Rapids Councilwoman Monica Vernon - 6%
Lawyer Dave O'Brien - 4%
Former State Sen. Swati Dandekar - 4%

Dandekar leads in fundraising, but apparently has something of a ConservaDem reputation (Terry Branstad appointed her to something at some point, I recall).

My hope is that Kajtazovic wins, she has a really interesting life story, and has the potential to stay in Congress and build up seniority for a looooooooong time at only 27.

Agreed. I don't really have a problem with any of the candidates, but Katjazovic is by far my favorite and I hope she wins. Solid progressive credentials, would be the youngest member of Congress by about 3 years, and as you said a very compelling backstory.

Although she's been ambiguous on her religious beliefs, she'd be the first female Muslim in Congress and the first Bosnian-American.

It's just too bad Kajtazovic wasn't born here. (can't be President or VP)

Even if she was, I think you're jumping the gun a little.
