Donna Mercado Kim in the lead, 31-21 over Takai for HI-1.

Once again, let's keep the DINOs out of Hawaii. Thankfully Manahan (who wasn't tested) cuts into her base a little. I'm switching my endorsement from Xian to Takai - he sounds progressive enough to make it, and he can beat Donna Mercado Kim.

If you all think Hanabusa's bad socially, you haven't seen anything yet. At least Gabbard's moved leftward.

Mercado Kim is everything wrong with Hawaii politics. I'm not enthusiastic about any of her challengers (Most of them are just as bad or worse than Hanabusa) but I'd take any of them over Kim.

IIRC Xian is very progressive.

She's also a nobody who can't win.

Yeah, Takai sounds like the best anti-Mercado Kim choice.
