Report.

The caveat is that the poll was done by Baslice & Associates for the Patrick campaign. Still, I don't think its possible for Dewhurst's camp to draw any positive conclusions here.

Patrick nominally leads 55-34. With those 'certain' to vote in May, its 59-32.

With voters who cast ballots in the primary, Patrick leads 60-31.

Dewhurst is pretty toast. It's a question of whether he loses by 10 or loses by 20 or more.

I think Van De Putte has a better chance than Wendy Davis of being elected come November. Still a longshot though.

I think less people care about the Lt. Gov. election, so it will depend on how Wendy Davis does. If she's closer than expected, than De Putte might have a shot. But probably Texas just elects two Republicans and if Patrick proves to be a nutter, then he gets the boot in 2018.
