Labels
Economic: Market Socialist
Social: Liberal
Foreign: Soft Interventionist
Overall: Constitutional/Democratic Socialism

Social Policy
Abortion: Pro-choice
Same-sex Marriage: Fully support
Drugs: Legalize cannabis and psilocybin nationwide, but tax and regulate them in the same manner as alcohol and nicotine. Possession or consumption of other drugs should be punished with a small fine, probation and/or court-mandated rehabilitation. Continue to fight trafficking and domestic production.
Stem Cell Research: Support
Criminal Justice: Abolish private prisons and the death penalty. Pardon everyone convicted of drug possession or consumption. End the use of solitary confinement as a disciplinary measure. Automatically expunge the records of juvenile delinquents once they turn 18 and have finished their sentence. End cash bail. Set a federal minimum wage for prison labor at 50% of the federal minimum wage.
Slavery Reparations: Oppose direct cash payments to individuals, but support government programs and financial subsidies for Black-owned businesses and NGOs.
Prostitution: Legalize, but with strict and thorough regulation.
Free Speech: We must tolerate all opinions and beliefs, unless they’re used to express intolerance.
Education: Abolish standardized testing and school funding models based on property tax. Abolish charter schools, and ban tuition fees and entrance exams for private schools. Require teachers to have a Master’s degree at least. Abolish tuition fees for colleges, universities and trade schools, and forgive all outstanding student loan debt.
Censorship: Generally oppose, except for extreme cases such as child pornography or graphic real-life depictions of violence. The government should not be in the business of legislating morality.
Gun Control: Strongly oppose. Gun control is population control, not crime control. Obvious exceptions for machine guns, explosives and the like.
Immigration: Switch to a merit-based immigration system with provisions for keeping families together. Close down all immigrant detention facilities. Demilitarize the Mexican border. Offer amnesty to all undocumented immigrants who arrived as children.

Economic Policy
Minimum Wage: Immediately raise the federal minimum wage to $10, increasing it to $15 over a 5-year period. Index it to inflation after that.
Taxes: Abolish the lowest income tax bracket, and increase taxes on everyone making six figures or more, with the top bracket being set at 50%. Introduce a wealth tax of 1% for net worth over $10 million, and 2% over $1 billion. Increase corporate income tax, but lower income tax for small businesses and cooperatives. Keep the estate tax as it is.
Infrastructure: Dramatically increase funding for infrastructure projects. Build electrified high-speed rail routes in California, Texas, Florida and the Midwest. Upgrade America’s ancient power grid.
College: Abolish tuition fees for colleges, universities and trade schools, and forgive all outstanding student loan debt.
Healthcare: Expand Medicare into an opt-out public option. Also expand Medicare to include addiction and mental health counselling.
Welfare: Replace the existing patchwork system with a guaranteed minimum income (think Yang’s “Freedom Dividend”, but based on need). Enact stricter work requirements for young adults and households without children or dependents.
Unions: Enshrine the right to organize in the Constitution.
Environment: Implement a carbon tax once electric vehicles are affordable to the average consumer. Require all new construction to be LEED certified. Offer tax rebates for home insulation or off-grid utility projects. Ban the sale of new combustion engines as soon as it is practical. Move to 100% renewable energy, with particular focus on geothermal and nuclear energy.
Free Markets: Nationalize banking, insurance, utilities, natural resources and rail infrastructure. Establish marketing boards for cash crops, dairy products and commercial fisheries. Require corporations and franchised businesses to either implement democratic workplaces or cede a controlling share of the company to its employees. Small family-owned businesses would be exempt from this requirement.

Foreign Policy
Trade: Support free trade agreements, provided that the interests of the working class in all participating nations are respected.
NATO/Allies: With the growing threats posed by states such as Russia, China, Iran and North Korea, it’s more important than ever for NATO and other Western allied nations to stick together.
War and Diplomacy: Diplomatic solutions should always be the preferred avenue for resolving conflicts on the world stage. However, if there is credible evidence of human rights being violated on a systemic scale, military intervention is always justified.
Global Cooperation: Build and maintain strong ties with all nations that demonstrate the values of freedom, democracy and peace.
Military Spending: Reduce spending to about a quarter of what it is now.

Overall: Progressive/liberal blend

Social Policy
Abortion: Strongly support.
Same-Sex Marriage: Strongly support.
Drugs: Legalize marijuana, decriminalize all other drugs. Rehabilitation instead of incarceration.
Death Penalty: Strongly opposed.
Gun Control: Assault weapons ban. No open-carry or concealed carry, you can only have the gun on your private property. Mandatory background checks and psychological testing. Routine training every six months. National gun owner database. Close the boyfriend loophole.
Affirmative Action: Support.
Euthanasia: Support.
Prostitution: Legalize for sex workers, decriminalize for Johns. (As I understand it, this is the most effective way to protect sex workers, but I'm open to whatever experts say is best.)
Immigration: Open the borders. Stop having them be closed.
Criminal justice: Abolish private prisons. Abolish mandatory minimum sentencing. Abolish the three strikes law. Focus on rehabilitation over punitive sentencing. Follow the Nordic model of updating the infrastructure.
Surveillance: Depends on the circumstances. I think it's a necessary evil for the FBI to track extremist groups, but local police forces should have their power limited.
Police: Abolish qualified immunity, ban police unions, don't allow beat cops to carry firearms. Require a bachelor's in criminal justice and four years of training. Reduce their budgets.

Economic Policy
Minimum Wage: Raise to $15 and tie it to inflation.

Transit: Expand public transit within cities. Invest in a high-speed rail across the country. Invest in electric vehicles.

Foreign Policy
Foreign intervention: Generally support intervention, with an obvious preference for diplomacy.
Russia: Invest in cybersecurity. Give arms/money to Ukraine so they can defend themselves.
China: Invest in cybersecurity. Give arms/money to Taiwan so they can defend themselves. Invest heavily in trade in the region to reduce their influence.
Israel-Palestine: End US financial support for the IDF. Demand that Netanyahu stop any and all further annexation. Reparations for the Palestinians, and restore their stolen land and property.
NATO: Strongly support.
UN: Strongly support.
Defense budget: Reduce amount of ground troops and invest heavily in cybersecurity, R&D, and the Navy.

Electoral Reform
Electoral College: Abolish it. Nationwide popular vote.
Gerrymandering: I want Democrats to play dirty while it exists, but ideally there would be a bipartisan commission to redraw the districts.

SOCIAL ISSUES

Environment
Very progressive on this issue; probably more left-wing on this than any other issue. I think that sums my position on this issue up pretty well.

Abortion
'Safe, legal and rare' type. I support the Hyde Amendment - excluding cases involving rape, incest, or where the mother's life is in danger, no federal funding for abortion whatsoever. Abortion is necessary, but not at all desirable, and it should absolutely have some limits, especially in cases not involving rape, incest, or mother's life is in danger. I oppose the far-right legislation Republicans are pushing (and I oppose Roe's overturn), but also know that ideally, abortion should be done only whenever absolutely necessary, and it itself is nothing to celebrate or do unnecessarily. Also support 'religious liberty' exceptions to performing abortions.

'Wokeness' and Cancel Culture
To put it simply: I'm opposed to wokeness, 'cancel culture', and too much political correctness. You all know exactly what I'm talking about. Though, contrary to what the right would have you believe, there are plenty of snowflakes on the right as well.

The Second Amendment
Same as the environment: very liberal on this issue, and support any and all amounts of gun control. I wouldn't object even if we hypothetically decided to repeal the Second Amendment (which we never will).

LGBTA+ Rights
Support homosexual rights to marry, adopt, and serve in the military openly. Generally would be considered centre-right on transgenders and non-binaries (like I think trans women with excess male hormones should not participate in women's sports, period, and the like, acknowledge the difference between a trans woman pre-op and a biological woman, and oppose complete nonsense like neopronouns), except for transgenders serving in the military (no one should be denied the right to serve in their nation's military). If someone has religious objections to performing sex reassignment surgery or catering to LGBTA customers, that is within their constitutional rights.

Death Penalty
The death penalty should not be abolished. But it should be reduced. Once guilt is established beyond any argument (like multiple witnesses or a camera recording), and the crime is absolutely heinous (like committing a mass shooting, say), only then should the death penalty be implemented.

Update (late December 2022): I am reconsidering my belief on the death penalty. During my time here I've been exposed to multiple very compelling arguments for the abolition of the practice, and I've found myself sympathetic to such arguments. I've also found it more and more difficult to justify the use of the death penalty, even in cases where at first glance it appears wholly justified.

Life Support / Assisted Suicide
Once someone has all the appropriate information, and have an incurable disease, they should be allowed to decide if they want to die or not. It is a personal decision. It is not the government's place to intervene. It is ironic that the GOP favours small government otherwise but big government to regulate personal decisions someone may make. Similarly, for removal of life support, if someone has a living will stating that they do not want to be on life support, respect their decision, and again, the government should never intervene (as they did in the case of Terri Shiavo). Removal of life support, and assisted suicide, should not be politicized or dealt with by the government.

Landlord Rights
The eviction moratarium should certainly be allowed to end. It's Democrats pandering to the base. There's absolutely no reason now that landlords should have to give free room and board to people who will likely take advantage of the moratarium. Earlier in the pandemic, perhaps it made sense. Now, there are more job availabilities and in most cases, anyone who tries hard enough can find a job. Landlords are people too, and in some cases, a large percentage of their own income may be derived from collecting rent on their properties. They shouldn't be deprived of that because of this moratarium.

Affirmative Action
Strongly opposed; counterintuitive and reverse-racism.

Drugs
Decriminalize some drugs (mainly marijuana), but impose a high sales tax on them. Addicts will be forced to pay extra money to the government or (if not addicted yet) break the habit of having drugs - so the deficit, number of drug users, and number of people in jail, all fall simultaneously. To ensure that no one is having drugs from illegal sources and evading the drug tax, crack down on cartels.

Immigration
Those who are already in the US should not be deported. A border wall, as well as the family separation policy = inhumane and ineffective. Racial profiling is bad. The 2017 executive order banning immigration from 7 Muslim-majority countries was counterintuitive, racist and ineffective. Make the immigration and citizenship process easier as well, so illegal immigration is necessary for less families.

Policing
Do not defund (and definitely do not abolish) the police. All cops are NOT bas**rds - most of them are good people who try to do their job and protect us, and people who don't see that are morons who don't deserve the protection and safety the police guarantees with. However, the police should have to wear body cameras, and the likes of Derek Chauvin should be fired and imprisoned.

Surveillance
Tracking terrorists is necessary. The PATRIOT Act may be too expanisve, but it is a good idea, once surveillance is reduced. Of course, it is uncomfortable to know your phone calls may be being monitered by the government (making it surprising that this bill was supported mainly by the GOP), but it is a good way to crack down on terrorism, faulty as the method may be. After all, the government may be listening to your calls, but is not doing so for the sake of doing so. They may listen, but as long as you are not a terrorist, they will not do anything (for example if they discover you are having an affair, they aren't going to tell on you). It is faulty, of course.

Healthcare
I support Obamacare, and while socialized medicine is a good idea in theory, it cannot be implemented - it is too costly. Medicare and Medicaid are good.

COVID19 is a serious, deadly pandemic. Vaccinations are necessary, and I wouldn't favour putting a federal mask mandate out of the question. Even doubly-vaccinated people are contracting the virus, which is why masking and social distancing (preferably, stay home as much as possible) is essential. That said, I'm not the mask hawk I previously was.

ECONOMIC ISSUES

Tarrifs
I am for free trade and for low-to-medium tarrifs (unless the country against which a particular tarrif is being levied has high tarrifs on the US, in which case keep tarrifs high).

National Debt
A 'deficit hawk' who knows the deficit matters (though admittedly, this issue is of lowish to low priority). Take some action to reduce the national debt - increase taxes overall, and cut federal programs where appropriate and where spending is wasteful and/or extravagent (and that includes the military industrial-complex).

Taxes
A 'fair tax' is unrealistic. But the rich should not be punished for their success; increasing taxes on the rich to ridiculous amounts just because of their wealth is unfair. Billionaires shouldn't be illegal. The idea that people making over a billion dollars should pay 100% of their income more than a billion dollars (effectively abolishing billionaires) is terrible. Not only is it unfair it will kill the economy by sending every billionaire in America overseas. However, we need to close tax loopholes completely. And I don't oppose raising taxes on the rich per se (like I'm not sure how wise the 2017 tax cuts, which basically only helped the ultra-rich, were) - just not to crazy amounts.

Minimum wage
The minimum wage doesn't kill that many jobs. Don't support a crazily high minimum wage, but a slight increase is fine.

Unions & Right to Work Laws
Unions should have every right to fight the employers. The employers should have every right to fight back. Right-to-work laws are absolutely fine.

Welfare reform
Some people on the government payroll abuse this by spending the money on alcohol/drugs and do not bother finding a job. So the rich and middle-class pay for a poor person to have whatever drugs and alcohol they want. There is a need for welfare reform. Reduce the welfare paycheque (except for the disabled) to so little that they have to choose between food and alcohol/drugs, or even better, overhaul the system. This can be done by firstly reducing the paycheque, and also forcing all recepients to state their address so that random (and mandatory) checks can be conducted to ensure the government's money isn't being wasted on alcohol, drugs or anything of the sort. With that said, the 1996 welfare reform package was bad and some people - kids, the disabled, the sick, the mentally ill - absolutely need support and shouldn’t be denied it.

FOREIGN POLICY

Middle East
Reduce American military presence in the Middle East. Stop supporting Israel over Palestine. The Iraq War was unncessary: yes, killing Saddam was a good thing, but after that there wasn't really any need to continue military presence in Iraq. When assassinating terrorists, ensure that no one innocent is killed as much as possible.

Ukraine
I like what we're doing here right now. Don't attack Russian civilians (keep it to a minimum - they are suffering and are victims - of dictatorship and abuse and of misinformation and propaganda - too), but absolutely and overwhelmingly go after Putin and the oligarchs who control Russia.

ELECTIONS

Electoral College
Abolish the electoral college and replace it with either ranked-choice voting or just regular popular vote.

Gerrymandering
Give complete control of congressional redistricting to a nonpartisan, federal committee to end gerrymandering.

Presidential Requirements
Abolish the presidential term limit, reduce the minimum age to 18, and end the US-born requirement. Require presidential candidates to release criminal records and 5 years of tax records. Voters should be allowed to make informed decisions and should not have unnecessary or excessive limits on whom they can vote for.

Voting Requirements
Voting should be optional. Voters should have two days to vote. 13 to 18 year olds should be allowed to vote so long as they can pass a moderately difficult civic knowledge examination. Formerly incarcerated people should be allowed to vote after the completion of their full sentence, unless their crime included murder or terrorism and they were arrested only once (not multiple times).

2020 & the Big Lie
The election was absolutely not 'stolen' from Trump and there's no evidence whatsoever of large-scale voter fraud. January 6 was deplorable and terrible - it was caused by Trump and his bootlickers. Trump most certainly deserved impeachment for January 6.

Campaign Finance Reform
I support campaign finance reform. Get the money out of politics so special interests like the NRA, the coal lobby, the ultra-rich, etcetera, can't bribe legislators. Do that, and then politicians will be less beholden to them and will listen to people more. Corporations aren't people; people are people.

If someone has religious objections to performing sex reassignment surgery
I'm sorry, but who learns how to perform sex reassignment surgery (because it's not as simple I imagine you imagine it. You have to actually know your way around the nerves down there to, for instance, turn a penis into a vagina while still being functional) and then has religious objections to actually doing it?

Good point, I didn't think of it that way, but I mean that generally, if someone wants to do sex reassignment surgery, and a hospital itself has religious objections to doing so (like they don't bother requiring doctors to know how to do sex reassignment surgery), then that is protected by the Constitution. Although I agree with what you said, I can't imagine why someone would learn how to perform sex reassignment surgery if they're going to have religious objections to doing it.

SOCIAL ISSUES

Environment
I strongly support environmental measures. Impose a carbon tax, keep America in the Paris Climate Agreement, put a tax on cars emmitting high carbon emmissions, force companies that cut trees to grow twice the number of trees they cut, create a special tax on plastic, pay people money to remove trash/plastic from the ocean, ban any drilling in ANWR, and stop the Keystone Pipeline now. Ban offshore drilling and hydraulic fracking. Invest/subsidize in solar/wind energy.

Abortion
I support the Hyde Amendment - excluding cases involving rape, incest, or where the mother's life is in danger, no federal funding for abortion whatsoever. Furthermore (again, excluding cases involving rape, incest, or when the mother's life is in danger), abortion should be restricted after the first trimester. If a teenager has an abortion her parents should be notified. If someone has religious qualms with performing an abortion, that is within their constitutional rights.

The First Amendment
Unless threatening violence, there should be no penalty for hate speech or racist language. This speech is protected by the First Amendment.

The Second Amendment
The Second Amendment was never meant to apply to individuals. It was written at a time in which there was no established military. Now, we have a huge military. The Second Amendment is outdated and has been for centuries. Therefore, all gun control measures are constitutional. They are also good, and necessary for public safety. I support any bill that will reduce the number of shootings in this country - whether that means an assault weapon ban; background checks; whatever. The number of shootings in the US is higher than most (and possibly all) other countries.

LGBTA+ Rights
Support homosexual rights to marry, adopt, and serve in the military openly. Generally oppose transgender rights, except to serve in the military. No one should be denied the right to serve in their nation's military. If someone has religious objections to performing sex reassignment surgery or catering to LGBTA customers, that is within their constitutional rights.

Death Penalty
The death penalty should not be abolished. It costs taxpayers money to give room and board to criminals. But it should be reduced. Once guilt is established beyond any argument (like multiple witnesses or a camera recording), and the crime involves murder, terrorism or rape, only then should the death penalty be enforced.

Affirmative Action
Affirmative action is counterintuitive. The solution to righting past wrongs and ending racism is not to continue it. Affirmative action is unfair to high-achieving Asians/whites who are being discriminated against for simply being Asian/white. That A wronged B does not justify B's descendants being favoured at the expense of C. C is being treated unfairly in this case. Colorblindness (not including race as a factor in considering college/job applications) is fair.

Drugs
Decriminalize all drugs, but impose a high sales tax (35%) on all drugs. Addicts will be forced to pay extra money to the government or (if not addicted yet) break the habit of having drugs - so the deficit, number of drug users, and number of people in jail, all fall simultaneously. To ensure that no one is having drugs from illegal sources and evading the drug tax, crack down on all cartels.

Immigration
Those who are already in the US should not be deported. A border wall, as well as the family separation policy, is inhumane and ineffective. Increase the border patrol (unsubstantially), and tax employers who employ illegal immigrants.

If a school is failing, the solution isn't to shut it down. First, try to fix it. However, the police should have to wear body cameras, and the likes of Derek Chauvin should be fired and imprisoned. Increase racial sensitivity programs in the police.

Education
The No Child Left Behind Act was good in theory, but overly ambitious. Instead of AYP, it should be that the school does not get worse scores. Expecting yearly improvement is unrealistic. School vouchers are a good idea after efforts to fix a particular school have been made. College education costs are too high. Establish a very basic free community college program at the state/local level - the government gives some money to each state (the states themselves can supplement the cost) to do so.

They may listen, but as long as you are not a terrorist, they will not do anything (for example if they discover you are having an extramarital affair, they aren't going to contact your spouse to tell them). It is faulty, of course.

ECONOMIC ISSUES

Tarrifs
I am for free trade and for low-to-medium tarrifs (unless the country against which a particular tarrif is being levied has high tarrifs on the US, in which case keep tarrifs high).

National Debt
Take all necessary action to reduce the national debt - increase taxes overall, and cut federal programs where appropriate and where spending is wasteful and/or extravagent.

Taxes
Increase taxes marginally on both the rich and the middle-class; increase taxes greatly on the poor (increase by about 2% for the middle-class and rich; double the taxes paid by the poor). A 'fair-tax' is unrealistic.

Minimum wage
The minimum wage doesn't kill that many jobs, and while the minimum wage should not be abolished, a higher minimum wage is unfair to business. The minimum wage should currently be reduced slightly. Perhaps this will save some jobs.

This can be done by firstly reducing the paycheque, and also forcing all recepients to state their address so that random (mandatory) checks can be conducted to ensure the government's money isn't being wasted on alcohol, drugs or anything of the sort.

Healthcare
I support Obamacare, and while socialized medicine is a good idea in theory, it cannot be implemented - it is too costly. Medicare and Medicaid are good.

FOREIGN POLICY

Middle East
Reduce American military presence in the Middle East. Stop supporting Israel over Palestine. The Iraq War was unncessary. When assassinating terrorists, ensure that no one innocent is killed as much as possible.

Veterans Affairs Department
Merge the Veterans Affairs Department with the Defense Department BUT keep funding for the Department of Defense the same - its budget is too high.

ELECTIONS

Electoral College
Abolish the electoral college and replace it with ranked-choice voting.

Gerrymandering
Give complete control of redistricting to a nonpartisan, federal committee (the Federal Congressional Redistricting Committee) to end gerrymandering. The members can be appointed as follows - 3 from the president, 3 from the Senate, 3 from the House, and 8 from the Supreme Court. Members on the committee can serve for life.

Presidential Requirements
Abolish the presidential term limit, reduce the minimum age to 18, and end the US-born requirement. Require presidential candidates to release criminal records and 5 years of tax records. Voters should be allowed to make informed decisions and should not have limits on whom they can vote for. If in 1988 America wanted to reelect Ron Reagan, it should have been allowed to (not that it should have).

This is absolute PERFECTION.

If elected POTUS, these would be what I would do in terms of foreign policy:

Latin America:

- Stop the Cuban blockade, however, on some conditions, including a transition to a democratic socialist system with promises if Cuba meets those conditions to help develop and modernize it, as well as considering building better relations between those nations. Those conditions would be the transition to a democracy, and the immediate stop to all human right abuses. However I don't see Cuba as a threat, and I would also let them know that. If they want to be socialist, i would let them be socialist. My condition is that it is a democracy that respects human rights.

- Change attitude in terms of Venezuela and Nicaragua. Same approach basically as Cuba, but my condition again would be "fair elections". I would however agree with Maduro to stop supporting Guaido.

- Building better relations with all Latin American nations in general, and ease movement between those nations. Also work on a combined drug tackling approach where all drugs would be legalized by all nations, as well as produced by the nations (safely) in order to counter drug cartels. Develop Middle American nations to stop immigration that way, but make a legal pathway to USA easier for citizens in America. However, I would probably tighten immigration and customs with non-American continents.

- The only nations I would be harsh against is Brazil, where I would suggest that to preserve further positive relations, i would be in need of further restrictions, which means the guarantee that the Amazon rainforest in it's entirety will protected. If not followed or if plain rejected, i would start sanctioning Brazil with the harshest sanctions possible.

Europe:

- I would make clear and sound that a beneficial relationship requires a balance, not that one country supports the other without getting something in return. I also would make clear that respect should be earned. I can respect European nations & leaders, but I need to get that back in return. If not... relations would indeed get tenser with me as POTUS.

- I feel NATO is very obsolete, in that it should be reformed. I would however require a fair contribution of European nations to NATO, and make clear if they don't, that it would be very clear that when help is needed in terms of military invasions, i would not suddenly help them out. I'd probably also threaten to leave NATO as I would give multiple times admit it's obsolete, and also start researching into illegal practices and war crimes done by NATO (bombings in 1980's, Bende van Nijvel: Operation Gladio), incl. prosecuting who-ever is to blame.

- I would offer my full commitment to the Paris climate agreement, and do everything I can to make a more ambitious new Paris possible, incl. binding conditions, not suggest things, but require things, incl. harsh sanctions in countries that aren't able to fullfill what is expected and secondly sanctions against people who don't follow Paris, but more importantly i would work on a new series of Geneva accords, but specifically regarding environment & climate and put all my weight as possible on it to make it possible.

- I would handle Russia on a case vs case approach. Not be naive, but also negotiate a lot with Putin as I think stuff can be done with Russia. I just assume i would not be able to improve relations, and that by the end of my terms relations with Russia would be at a low. I however think I will handle Russia a bit more soft wherever possible, but also be very unpredictable & strict whenever that is required. I would as well support the Belarussian opposition, and make efforts to isolate it from the rest of the world.

- I would refuse giving support to Navalny and continue cautious support for Putin, as I don't think Navalny is an improvement over Putin, and secondly i see Putin as a vital strategic ally for possible conflicts that would get started by other nations (Middle East mainly but also perhaps China), as well against the fight against terrorism

I think I would use Belarus as a possible diplomatic agreement against Russia, giving Russia a free pass to invade Belarus in exchange for other stuff, and I would also give a free pass for a few former USSR territories incl. Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, probably even going as far as openly supporting it, seeing it as a net improve for the people there.

Asia:

- I would probably go all in against Turkey and Iran, which means that i would try to create a Kurdistan, recognize it, and please Al-Assad with support, as long he recognizes Kurdistan, restrains from further war crimes.

- I would openly support the Kurds with all support possible, and in addition to that, i would also support Fetullah Gulen, and do some operations to free prisoners in Turkey.

- I would start a "defence pact" against Turkey, and invite Greece, Bulgaria, Syria, Armenia, Cyprus and Russia to it. If Erdogan makes statements i don't like, i'd proceed it, and unexpectedly take back European Turkey, Istanbul, Turkish Cyprus and Turkish Kurdistan, while also pursuing regime change in Turkey. On top of that, i would pledge support for Ataturk's legacy, calling him one of the greatest Turks to have ever lived, and that to honour him the Turks should go on the streets to overthrow Erdogan (trying to have influence that way), painting it as Ataturk's legacy vs Erdogan's destruction.

- I would also not resign the Iran nuclear deal, and seek a harsher approach towards Iran, but... i would not pursue military action.

- I would start the peace deals that were started by Trump in North Korea, and talk about a "united Korea", how it could be the biggest achievements the Koreans could have realize and how Koreans have the right to reunite their families and be a vital voice in the peace effort.

- I would condemn the annexation efforts by Israel, and start peace deals with Palestina. I would insist that a peace deal should be made, and when not, stop recognizing both Israel and Palestine, as long peace is not made.

- I would condemn the Uyghur genocide, recognize Taiwan and prepare for a new cold war with China, but I would not give up hope on diplomatic channels, but I would state that I have to do what I have to do, and if this leads to strained relations, so it will be. I would protect Taiwan, and demand from the UN that it should be accepted in the UN or that the US is out.

- Start good relations with Vietnam and making it essential it is a trustworthy and vital American ally. I would probably work on all relationships with SE-Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodja, Laos, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Papua-New Guinea, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Phillipines and Taiwan).

Africa:

- I'd invest in development, start building relationships with a lot of nations, and certainly work on starting vital friendly relationships with Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria.

Foreign Policy
(Not a complete list, this is just what comes to mind)

Redirect defense spending to cyber security and research & development.

Invest economically (a ‘Marshall Plan’ of sorts) in Africa to reduce Chinese influence.

Emphasize multilateral cooperation in the Arctic region to reduce Russian influence.

Expand naval forces in the Arctic.

Expand naval forces in the South China Sea, and be willing to defend Hong Kong or Taiwan against an invasion.

Develop a Lend-Lease program to aid Ukraine’s defense against Russian aggression.

Expand naval forces in the Black Sea.

Reinstate the Iran Deal.

Withdraw the majority of ground troops from the Middle East, but keep a skeleton crew of intelligence groups.

Increase the amount of refugees we accept from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran.

Work in conjunction with NGOs to provide food, medicine, and infrastructure development for Iraq,
Iran, Afghanistan, and Syria.

Work in conjunction NGOs to provide food and medicine for people in Venezuela.

Increase the amount of refugees we accept from Venezuela and Cuba.

Expand our role in international organizations like the United Nations and NATO.

End foreign aid for Israel until they stop expanding settlements, and allow a UN investigation into the IDF.

Alright there's been much speculation over my "political views", and sometimes whether I even have them...

I've been called by different people here "moderate", "liberal", "progressive", "far-right", and very strangely "communist". I'd like to make some things clear with this post.

However I'm far too lazy to try to clear up this stuff in-depth, so I'm just gonna take a political test online and have that do the talking for me.

So I'll be taking the Sapplyvalues political test, copy and paste the questions and my answers with no elaboration because as I said earlier I'm too lazy for that (except a few that I think are susceptible to needing elaboration). You could ask though and I could try to explain. The way this works is that they give you a statement and you tell them how you feel. It's 46 questions only so I'm OK with doing it quickly. I'm also taking the test in order so I've divided it into some rudimentary divisions.

Alright so let's begin eh:

ECONOMIC STUFF

  • Freedom of business is the best practical way a society can prosper. NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • Charity is a better way of helping those in need than social welfare. DISAGREE
  • Wages are always fair, as employers know best what a worker's labour is worth. STRONGLY DISAGREE
  • It is "human nature" to be greedy. NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • Exploitation" is an outdated term, as the struggles of 1800s capitalism doesn't exist anymore. STRONGLY DISAGREE
  • Communism is an ideal that can never work in practice. STRONGLY AGREE
  • Taxation of the wealthy is a bad idea, society would be better off without it. STRONGLY DISAGREE
  • The harder you work, the more you progress up the social ladder. AGREE
  • Organisations and corporations cannot be trusted and need regulating by the government. AGREE
  • A government that provides for everyone is an inherently good idea. AGREE
  • The current welfare system should be expanded to further combat inequality. AGREE
  • Land should not be a commodity to be bought and sold. STRONGLY DISAGREE
  • All industry and the bank should be nationalized. STRONGLY DISAGREE
  • Class is the primary division of society. NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • Economic inequality is too high in the world. STRONGLY AGREE

IS THIS CIVIL RIGHTS?*

  • Sometimes it is right that the government may spy on its citizens to combat extremists and terrorists. NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • Authority figures, if morally correct, are a good thing for society. NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • Strength is necessary for any government to succeed NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • Only the government can fairly and effectively regulate organisations.  NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • Society requires structure and bureaucracy in order to function. AGREE
  • Mandatory IDs should be used to ensure public safety. NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • In times of crisis, safety becomes more important than civil liberties. NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear. STRONGLY DISAGREE
  • The government should be less involved in the day to day life of its citizens.  STRONGLY AGREE
  • Without democracy, a society is nothing NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • Jury nullification should be legal. NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • The smaller the government, the freer the people DISAGREE
  • The government should, at most, provide emergency services and law enforcement. DISAGREE
  • The police were not made to protect the people, but to uphold the status quo by force. NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • State schools are a bad idea because our state shouldn't be influencing our children. NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • Two consenting individuals should be able to do whatever they want with each other, even if it makes me uncomfortable. AGREE**
  • An individual's body is their own property, and they should be able to do anything they desire to it. NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • A person should be able to worship whomever or whatever they want. STRONGLY AGREE

"SOCIAL" AND "CULTURAL" ISSUES

  • Nudism is perfectly natural. STRONGLY DISAGREE
  • Animals deserve certain universal rights. AGREE
  • Gender is a social construct, not a natural state of affairs. STRONGLY DISAGREE
  • Laws based on cultural values, rather than ethical ones, aren't justice. NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • Autonomy of body extends even to minors, the mentally ill, and serious criminals  DISAGREE
  • Homosexuality is against my values. NEUTRAL/UNSURE***
  • Transgender individuals should not be able to adopt children. STRONGLY AGREE
  • Drugs are harmful and should be banned. STRONGLY AGREE
  • The death penalty should exist for certain crimes. STRONGLY AGREE
  • Victimless crimes should still be punished. STRONGLY AGREE
  • One cannot be moral without religion. STRONGLY AGREE
  • Parents should hold absolute power over their children, as they are older and more experienced. NEUTRAL/UNSURE
  • Multiculturalism is bad. STRONGLY DISAGREE

* Basically everything in this field can be summed up by me being against the phrase "If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear!" This has been proven wrong time and time again! It makes me iffy on taking a hard stance in favor of many of these things, which while they might be in the best interests of the people, could be a slippery slope (and not the fallacy but the actual thing).
** Because "It makes me uncomfortable personally" and "I consider it morally wrong" are different.
*** I'll be willing to grant them this much that the homosexual nature is neutral as long as it doesn't escalate but I do not at all condone sodomy or them being able to marry (personally I don't condone this but this doesn't mean I'm aiming for the government to step in)

So this is my end result:

Finally, certain answers I've chosen would change somewhat based on the location. This is all done assuming it's the United States government.

I might be a little bit more authoritarian in certain other countries, both real and hypothetical...

Motorcity in particular made this post which is pretty dead-on for me as well (put in my own edits to show differences):

Hey everyone

So a little about me. I am a second generation Muslim-American. Born and raised in Tennessee Florida.

I am economically liberal. I support free college and Medicare for All. I support UBI and think programs like foodstamps and disability should be expanded. I also think the government should do much more for climate (!!! Especially Climate!), science, infrastructure, small businesses, small farms, pay teachers more, and tax the rich. Also support unions and cut unfair trade deals. I would even go farther and say we should ban some automation like self driving trucks.

But I am a social conservative. Both because of my Islamic faith and southern heritage. I am Pro-Life. I think transgender people should use the bathroom of their biological sex and the same for sports. I am also against gay marriage but accept its a done deal. I don't care for gun reform support background checks and the most basic gun restrictions but nothing more radical than that. I don't like weed and don't think people should smoke it, but I'm okay with it being legal and don't think people should be in jail for it. I also think wearing a mask should be a choice but I do think they protect people.

Globally, I think the US should stand for human rights and intervene militarily to stop genocide. I support a two state solution for Palestine and oppose the genocdies in China, Burma, and China. I think the US should be the world's policeman and stand up to Russia and China, but military spending should go to social programs.

Is there a place for me in the Democratic Party? I consider myself a loyal supporter of the Democrats. I voted for Bernie Sanders in both 2016 and 2020, but still voted for Hillary and Biden in the general.

Thoughts?

If I could describe my ideology, I'd call myself a social liberal. Personally, I am very socially libertarian, with the exception of abortion. I am a "dove", as oppose war in most cases unless we have been attacked by the country/group that we are declaring war on. Ecconomically, I am ecconomically centrist or ecconomically liberal, in the sense that I believe in a modest welfare state, but however, I support the free market in government programs as long as they  abide by government standards.

Ideology
Social: Very Liberal
Economic: Somewhat Liberal
Foreign Policy: Internationalist

Social Policy
Abortion: A matter of personal choice in first trimester, only when a compelling and unforeseen need can be established thereafter. No parental notification for 17 year olds, the DCF should be immediately involved if a child any younger gets pregnant, and the police should be immediately involved if the child is under 14. If Roe goes, so should Hyde.

Same-Sex Marriage: Either recognize all "marriages" or recognize none.

Drugs: Support legalizing marijuana, decriminalizing most other drugs

Death Penalty: Oppose except for war crimes, including treason. Basically only direct and  violent crimes against the whole society should receive the death penalty.

Gun Control: I'm fine with the 2A but open carry is too close too common law criminal menacing and background checks and red flag laws are important. Would let states decides what should be disqualifying in background checks though.

Affirmative Action: Somewhat oppose. I understand the rationale for and against it. I will say if I were hiring a graduate student or an employee, I would consider where they started as well as where they are in making my decisions.

Prostitution: At this point, enforcing laws again it should stop being a priority unless there is actual violence involved or is causing public health issues. I would definitely emphasize treatment. Open to it eventually being legal, taxed, and heavily regulated. Trafficking and Pimping should get mandatory prison sentences and perhaps Life in the worst circumstances.

Euthanasia: I'm against involuntary euthanasia but think there is no dignity in trying to force laws against assisted suicide.

Immigration: I'm open minded on this issue but think fortifying the southern border just causes more harm than good.

Police Issues/Black Lives Matter: Strongly favor police reform. Police need more oversight, and qualified immunity needs to be reduced. Support mandatory body cams. Oppose electing sheriffs. The ultimate goal is to restore public faith in the police from 60% to 90%, providing 100% is not possible. Don’t mess with their funding but get them out of things that they are not intended or designed to do. It’s not that they have too much money, it’s that other agencies have too little.

Ethics in Criminal Justice: End Private Prisons and replace community compensation programs and prosecutors' fees  with higher fines. There should be no financial incentives for particular state agencies or charities that people are punished above and beyond fines.

Free Speech/Political Correctness: Strongly oppose government restrictions on free speech. Don't care much about people getting banned from social media if that is what was meant. I feel like "political correctness" can sometimes go too far, but do not feel that it is too big an issue.

Big Tech: I'm still skeptical of regulation in this area in general, but there needs to be more transparency about how these companies work. I keep hearing stories of people getting kicked off of AirBnb and other services members of the public rely on because of "routine reviews", Twitter algorithms that push white nationalists narratives, and Facebook being used as a slave market in the Middle East.

School Prayer: School Prayer: Allow individual students to pray, but do not allow any adult to lead prayer

Muslim Ban: Oppose.

PATRIOT ACT: Oppose. Additionally would strongly oppose any proposed "PATRIOT ACT II" if Congress tries to pass one after the Capitol Storming.

Economic Issues
Minimum Wage: Raise it. It should be $10.10 in 2008 dollars.. so about $12-13 an hour today. Should be updated yearly to CPI.

Healthcare: Support Biden's plan. I really want a public option but would settle for equitable subsidies where means testing is further graduated and the limit is established that no applicant must pay more than 8% of their gross income for health insurance. A middle class family of making 100000 a year should pay no more than $667 a month for the most expensive insurance available.

Globalization/Trade: Support TPP and NAFTA

Deficit/Debt: Worried more about prices than debt

Campaign Finance Reform: Support. Overturn Citizens United.

Unions: Support fairer workplace elections, letting more people join unions, and ending right-to-work. Open to but not entirely supportive to card-check only union elections.

Defense Budget: Emphasize performance. Not married to either increasing or decreasing the defense budget. Blindly giving defense contractors more and more money is contributing to higher consumer prices, less money for other government programs, and reduced accountability and delivery by defense contractors. No more 6 year 2 billion dollar programs lasting for 20 years and costing 15 billion dollars.

Education: Support Biden's plan but OK with school choice but there should be no variance to the accreditation process for any institution. All publicly funded schools must teach a minimum curriculum.

Taxes: Support raising income and capital gains taxes on the upper brackets. I’m fine with the BBB surcharge model.

Social Security: Full Retirement Age to 69.5, end cap on payroll taxes, map minimum payout to 100% of FPL

Disability: Find a way to simultaneously raise benefits and tighten eligibility criteria

SNAP: Integrate Nutritional Standards into applicability of benefits

Government Defense and Research Contractors: Should be subject to increase scrutiny and more aggressive performance clauses. If no contractor can guarantee performance at a national level, programs should be federalized.

Science and Scholarship:

* Allow Private Student Loans to be discharged in bankruptcy if 2% of the amortization amount of the loans is greater than 10% of the borrower's average monthly income over the last 36 months.
* Require all publicly subsidized mortgage lenders to use the actual amount paid on the credit report of a student loan balance, so long as it is more than zero, in calculating creditworthiness for mortgages.

*Support renewables and nuclear power equally. End fossil fuel subsidies but not licensing. Invest in energy moonshots. .5% of national budget towards nuclear fission, fusion, and renewables research and development.
* Privatize Low Earth Orbit space exploration and development with the goal of having 50 people in space by 2035
* Commit to Subsidies and Deregulation for Space Development Industry
* Either commit to or cancel the Manned Lunar Program. Should have made 1 flight or be canceled by December 31, 2029.
* Have a concrete design architecture for a manned mission to either the vicinity of Venus, the surface or vicinity of Mars, or any other Non-NEO by December 31, 2029.

* Total funding for space research and exploration should be at 1% of Federal Budget

*Rework FDA approval processes for biological, regenerative, neuroprosthetic, gerontological and oncological drugs and medical devices. Commit 1% of national budget to R&D to these areas.

*Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems- .5% of national budget to R&D to these areas to combat Chinese progress.

* Science classes are to be completely secular but electives on religious tradition and theology should be encourage.

* Title IX will be maintained, but not abused. Whether or not someone can stay on campus and stay a student or faculty member is not a criminal justice issue and therefore not completely protected by due process. However, like public school students, I am concerned about schools becoming jails for kids.

Foreign Policy

Iraq: leave a small contingent to prevent the return of ISIL

Afghanistan: I think we should have stayed but now I'm glad we left because I don't think we were committed to staying there forever.

Iran: Support a return to the nuclear deal.

Syria: Continue support for the Kurds.

Cuba: Aim to end the embargo and open up trade with Cuba. Has the dual effect of raising quality of life and weakening the Communist system.

Israel/Palestine: Reduce military support to Israel though I don't think a two state solution is practical anymore.

Russia: Strengthen sanctions, support expansion of NATO, particularly in Ukraine. Oppose outright aggression.

China: Support attempts to isolate China, including economically, though I generally support free trade. Would support a larger American foreign aid and investment program to counter China's investments in infrastructure in Asia and Africa. Support using American power to maintain the status quo with ROC and PRC.

Environment
Climate Change: Support Paris Agreement, carbon taxation, and renewable energy.

Electoral Issues
Gerrymandering: Strongly oppose, support nationwide fair redistricting.

Term limits: Oppose for President and Congress.

Voter ID: Support, conditioned on IDs being free and provided to all Americans. Oppose otherwise.

DC and PR statehoods: Support

SCOTUS: 18 year term limit, staggered for every year. Every nominee gets an up or down vote. If no nominee is  passed in 180 days, President gets to pick and the senate should have to oppose it with 55 votes.

Mask Mandates: Strongly Oppose
Vaccine Mandates: Oppose

So more or less a mainstream paleocon. Socially not-quite-very conservative, economically somewhat conservative, and isolationist. I’d flip your E-S scores.

I took the Political Matrix again, and my Econ score moved 2 points to the left, while my social score moved insignificantly north. Also the social score is going off the standards of the 2000s not 2021

We have a lot in common. Here is mine:
