That's an interesting position. I'd be interested to hear your reasoning.

I oppose a single-payer system because I believe such a system will inevitably lead to euthanasia in the mid-to-distant future.

I don't understand the reasoning here.

I really hate the U.S. Senate's absurd rules and while the idea of balancing out the legislative process between small and big federal states by having one chamber based on population and one based on equal representation of the states sounds good in theory (the populous states cannot override the least populous states and the least populous states cannot override the populous states thus leading to compromise), it does seem to benefit the smaller states much more substantially.

Why shouldn't populous states override less populous states?

I'm not going to list out a bunch of positions like I'm some candidate for elective office, because that's silly and pointless. In terms of my political beliefs, Lewis Trondheim's characterization of me as an Islamic socialist seems entirely accurate, and everything I believe springs logically from that. The most direct application of religion is in the fight against avarice; there is a pressing religious duty to oppose those who would redefine greed as a positive good in gross violation of the Word of God. I am an internationalist, of course; American exceptionalism as a belief is thoroughly repulsive. I am for democracy and against imperialism in all its forms, both direct and indirect. It happens that the gospel of neoliberalism has massively broadened the appeal thereof; it is imperialism for everyone, and it allows everyone to wet their beaks at the expense of far-off lesser peoples. Of course, it too is founded upon the idea that greed is good. Perhaps it is an immovable force that shall drag all of us in its wake; yet we must stand against the tide of history if that is so, that we may halt or slow it if only for a moment.

Abortion: To be classified as premeditated murder. I would prefer it to be applied retroactively to mothers and abortionists who committed it prior to the law's passage, but that's probably unrealistic given the numbers that would need to be imprisoned.

That's also illegal.

You're not a candidate for federal office. Saying something "should be left to the states" isn't an actual position.

I think each state should vote on whether civil unions for gay and lesbian couples should be legal or not. Either in the legislature or have a referendum though I prefer the latter over the former.

That doesn't answer the question of what your actual position is on the matter.

The more I think about it, I think the worst thing someone can do is subscribe to a single ideology (i.e. "liberal", "conservative", "socialist"), and think because they are that ideology, all their positions have been laid out for them.

The world is too complex for any one ideology to always be correct and have no hypocracy within it.

Furthermore, when people try to subscribe to a single party, sometimes that party just picks up positions to be anti-the other party, even if that anti-position is just bad.

I feel like the best thing we can do is think about individual issues, and think about solutions that will make the biggest positive impact on the most people possible, and/or will improve the position of our country as a whole.

Ik that sounds vague and corny, but I think it's the truth.

Why would what you are describing be bad? Most people are not politicians and do not need to have a position on every issue. Coming up with one is a waste of time and mental energy that could be more profitably applied to any other activity. I try not to think about individual issues.
