He'll get eaten by worms, digested and turned into worm sh**t. He'll then be used as fertilizer to grow grass that will be eaten by a cow that is later killed and made into various cuts of meat. This meat will be cooked and eaten by homosexuals and digested, turning into yet more sh**t that will churn through bowels that are sometimes used in ways that he spent too much life pointlessly decrying. Forever and ever, amen.

The circle of life........

I wouldn't wish death upon anyone but Fred Phelps is a terrible human being in general and he certainly has it coming.

Under the Dantean conception of Hell, he'd be getting that.  Ironically, as a blasphemer, he'd end up in the inner ring of the seventh circle along with the usurers and the sodomites.

If there is someone who deserves to be spoken ill of when they die I guess it'd be him.

Well, he's 84. People do have a tendency to expire around that age.

Just to put out a random guess out about why the heck the church's leader is excommunicated, is WBC a group that believes in faith healing? I don't actually much about the groups theology other than "everybody but us is going to hell", but considering how crazy they seem it wouldn't be surprising in the least.

Imagine if the media didn't report on every action by his church of what, 40 people?  Maybe he'd stop the protests because he wasn't getting the attention he wanted.

Like Guntaker, I'm not a grave dancer either.

I hope he does what we all need to do: repent of his sins and ask Jesus to be his savior.

Did he actually get a above 40% in the Kansas senate primary in 1992? Shocked

How the hell did that happen?

He got 31% and won a couple of counties. Quite the bizarre/impressive/frightening showing especially considering that he was a Democrat.

A little over 30% is still ridiculous.  However, he likely got those votes the same way Alvin Greene won the South Carolina senate primary in 2010.  I doubt the Senate primary was a high priority for Democratic voters in 1992, since whoever won was going to lose to Bob Dole in November.

It also could be that some voters remembered the younger Phelps.  Before he went nutters over gays, he actually had a reputation as a civil rights lawyer fighting racial discrimination.

But you know that this will become the new hot talking point among right wingers. "Fred Phelps was a Democrat. Therefore, Democrats are the REAL party of homophobes and terrible people."

They've been saying that since the 90s.

He's on the edge of death because neither Heaven nor Hell want to admit him.

Can't we just ignore his funeral? The most apt memorial for Fred would be none at all. Maybe an unmarked grave where a gay bar can be built soon thereafter.
