New York is a socially liberal state, so MormDem's positive social score hurts him.

MormDem: 57.62%
Libertas: 42.07%

Libertas' social liberalism and very radical economics cost him dearly against someone more populist and more sympathy towards the evangelical vote. In the end "MormDem" pulls out pretty much everywhere other than the DC suburbs.

Umm...MormDem I guess, I have no idea the margin.  The county map would be all kinds of bizarre.

MormDem would narrowly win the South Dakota Democratic Primary.

TDAS04 wins the Democratic primary narrowly by taking the whole of Appalchia and sneaking up into Loudon County and other DC suburbs.

The other guy takes the other urban areas and Independent cities though.

Once again MormDem's social conservatism proves lethal in New York State, although TDAS is a bit too economically right to motivate liberal turnout. TDAS wins NYC and the suburbs while MormDem does better upstate.

I have to think that MormDem would beat JCL pretty easily in a neutral environment, as Ohio likes Republicans establishment-flavored, though JCL would do really well in rural western Ohio, especially the border with Indiana.

MormDem 56%
JCL 40%

It would look similar to the Blackwell v. Strickland map, except JCL would do way worse in the Cincinnati area and a tad better everywhere else, including significantly along the border with WV, where MormDem wouldn't have Strickland's home-effect and the area's generally become more right-wing over the past decade.

GOP Primary:

Goldwater: 62%
Vosem: 37.1%

And why does my name come up as GOP? The Dem part is not a decoration

Stop that, if you're at a loss call it a primary or caucus...but don't ever call me GOP! What's next, Rockefeller GOP the Democrat? Cathcon the NY Liberal Candidate? C'mon now.

Anyway,

Polls_PuffPass wins because of the party label

Turskiblau wins D primary 80-20, mostly due to his ability to spell correctly.
