Jessica Simpson (singer and star of the MTV reality show "Newlyweds") was for President Bush.

Jessica is now infamous for her "Jessica moments" - like asking if Chicken of the Sea is chicken or fish and thinking buffalo wings are made out of buffalo.

I wonder what Ralph Nader would have done had he received her endorsement instead of President Bush.  Most Nader voters think they are very smart.  Would they look down on Jessica?  Would they have had second thoughts about voting for Ralph Nader because of this?  Would Nader have dropped out of the race if he had to suffer the ignominy of being endorsed by the Chicken of the Sea diva?

The whore of commercialism endorses the consumer rights advocate. Does not compute. But I guess that's about her speed, hunh?

I care too. Ralph Nader is more suited to be president than any other candidate. Unfortunately, that will never happen--even with Jessica Simpson's endorsement. (To answer the question, most Nader supporters would probably be flattered and regard that as the smartes thing Jessica ever did.)

Now seriously, I understand the whole celebrity endoresment angle, but do you REALLY want a celebrity, who upon being introduced to the Secretary of the Interior, shook the persons hand and said  " You  did a wonderful job decorating the White House"  endorsing your choice?  There are times when I have considered voting for parties other than Republican or Democrat, but have stuck with one of those choices because I knew in the area I'm in, no other party stands a chance of getting enough votes.  So I vote for one of those, instead.  I really should just start voting my feelings instead of what is expected shouldn't I?

I guess you would like Kim Jong-Il as President too then, since Ralph Nader is the American version of him.

even though he was third on my list in '04, i think he is very intelligent. i read one of his books, and i thought it was very interesting and well written.

But do you really want America's face to the world be this horrifying face?

This is probably the dumbest thread ever seen on this forum, and that's saying a lot.  I'm literally speechless.

Had she endorsed Nader, Kerry may have lost 10 votes or so.

Still a thousand times more handsome than that weird-looking scrub. At least when Bush's photographed from below.

All the loopy, Hollywood elitist multi millionaire celebrity endorsements, crying "We care deeply about the plight of the poor and about the future of the environment," while lounging in their heart shaped pools and dining at the Waldorf Astoria, just don't carry any weight, unless you're a complete moron.

John Kerry had these endorsements in 2004, and look where it got him.

I think this is the first time many, if anyone, has ever seen "Jessica Simpson" & "SMART" in the same paragraph!
