Fascinating that Paul and Huckabee do the best.

But Christie and Bush are so moderate!

Huckabee and Cruz also lead in the primary there.

It seems Oregon Republicans are actually pretty right wing, that's a bit surprising.

Oregon and Washington have the most left-wing Democrats and the most right-wing Republicans. Very ideologically polarized.

Its interesting because the Republicans elected in the state were all moderates, but took some positions that were directly to the left of some Democrats in the state (For example: Hatfield was against Vietnam, his first Senate opponent, Robert Duncan, was for it, Packwood supported civil rights legislation, was pro-choice and pro-gun control, and voted against Clarence Thomas).

The Hatfield & Javits era is over. Republicans now are all right-wing.
