Hillary won the popular vote by almost 6%, but Obama nevertheless managed to receive more delegates.

How did that happen?

Same reason Obama's 13,000 caucus goers in Idaho got him more delegates than 100,000+ Clinton voters in New Jersey. The system was stacked in favor of rural districts with few voters.

Two things need to be abolished:

1.) caucuses and the indirect elections of national convention delegates.
2.) the inclusion of congressional districts for the allocation of delegates.

"One man - one direct vote" should be the canon of every election worldwide.
