As a campaigner for the democratic party 2006 is vital for the future of the party. 2006 has to be viewed as the first stepin getting the senate back but also re-electing the new democrats in their governorships.

NEW DEMOCRATS IN RED STATES
Kathleen Sebelius (Kansas)
Janet Napolitano (Arizona)
Dave Fraudenthal (Wyoming)
Fred Bredesen (Tennessee)

TARGETS FOR DEMOCRATS
Florida - the state is in absolute chaos. rapists, child molesters are all over the place and not tracked. Crime has gone up people without health insurance gone up and tourism has gone down.

Arkansas - Mike Huckabee has raised taxes. Not good for a Republican. if you raise taxes or are pro-choice then your re-elctin bid is in danger. He has one sin to his name. Could be a good aim if we can find a women to run the show.

Colorado - has to be a target. Colorado is on the verge of becoming democrat. it is a conservative place but if we can find a moderate that we`ll get the hispanic vote like Ken Salazaar then a serious chance.

Nevada- another with a growing population could well have 7 electoral votes in 2008 hence the selection of Harry Reid as sente majority leader.

Miss Catholic,

It's Phil Bredesen in TN, not Fred.

As for AR, Huckabee isn't running for re-election to Gov.

And Janet Napalotano is going to lose reelection in 2006, you heard it here first.  Her immigration stance is going to kill her.

Tell me she is not pro-illegal immigration?  If she is, she deserves to lose re-election.

Then why did Hayworth drop out?

That stunned me.

Here's an article on Napolitano's immigration stance:

And another:

She's highly pro-illegal. What a bitch. I hope that she loses next year, and badly.

Is anyone else happy that we have a red SD avatar to replace Alcon's old one?

Surely you mean 2012? No state will be gaining or losing electoral votes between now and 2008.

I was stunned too, I really like Hayworth and I don't see him dropping out to clear the way for the impeached, Clinton-pardoned former Gov. Symington.  Hayworth would be a MUCH stronger candidate.  At this point I'm supporting former Maricopa Cty DA Romley.  Napolitano just vetoed part of a ballot inititive that was passed with nearly 60% of the vote so you don't need ID to vote (which in a border state just makes sence) and supports giving illegal immigrants drivers licences (which is idiotic).  I am granting her numbers are high right now but as soon as someone starts hammering her on these issues I look for them to fall.  That blue avitar by my name is saying I will do anything legally in my power to make sure she loses in 2006.
