Ohio
Florida
New Hampshire
Iowa
Virginia
Colorado
Pennsylvania

I left out a few swing states because I think they can be classified fairly easily (NC is pretty indisputably right-leaning and WI and pretty indisputably left-leaning), but I'm curious to see how the forum would classify those states in particular.

What about Ohio, which is R+1 on the Cook Partisan Voting Index?

Okay, but in that case we should say the same thing about the I-4 corridor in Florida, which delivered the state to Clinton in 1996 and Obama in 2008/2012.

Those are much more of a swing region.  Bush I carried Florida in 1992, even as Clinton was carrying Ohio, so I would consider Florida to be more conservative.

Fair enough. It's just that I'm reluctant to say that Ohio is left-leaning when there are some indicators that lead me to believe this is not the case. Still, I definitely see where you are coming from.
