Senators, you have 48 hours to declare or nominate for the position of President Pro-Tempore.

Well,
I have a problem.
And I would like to have the opinion of the senators on that.

Here are the rules for the PPT election. Senators have 48 hours to declare their candidacy. While Senator North Carolina Yankee's candidacy is clearly valid, I'm not sure about TNF. Indeed, he declared his candidacy 15min 30 sec after the theoric end of the "nomination periods".

So, what do you think about that senators? Is the senator TNF's candidacy invalid?

Please, give me your opinion.

You can't put him as a declared candidate when you write the ballot but that doesn't prevent supporters from writing him in as far as precedent is concerned.

I think its funny how one of the potential nominees for PPT, the guy who pretty much runs the scheduling and timing of the Senate, was late to accept his nomination for PPT...

Regardless, I was already nominated by AdamGriffin. If that doesn't work, then I'll just wage a write-in campaign. Not a big deal.

The problem TNF is that being nominated by someone isn't enough (for me) to be on the ballot.

And the problem is that I don't believe as well write in is allowed.

I interpret that as you could receive 10 write in votes and Yankee would still be elected because he would be the official candidate with the most important number of votes (and in this case 0).

Senators, how do you interpret that?

We've utilized write-ins before. Not sure why we wouldn't be able to now.

Has someone been elected by write ins?

Well,
I will close this thread and open an another thread for the vote (like the rules tell me to do).

We will see for the write ins. I don't know if I'm able to count, but if you want to write in someone, you can do so. I don't even think it could change something in the final result.

And, just to be clear, no one is bullying me. I'm really trying to interpret the best I can the rules. And I'm sorry for the problems I seem to have created...
