Still. She'd be Senator Coakley if she ran that campaign right. Tongue

And we also wouldn't have Scotty making an ass of himself in NH right now. It was for the best. Wink

It's Coakley. She's well known throughout MA for her ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I haven't been paying close attention to this but why did Brown carpetbag to NH when he probably could have easily beat this woman again for Governor?

He seems to want to be a Senator. That said, moving to New Hampshire was just ridiculous.

I actually think he would've had a better chance at unseating Markey than Shaheen. He was still pretty popular after losing to Warren, he wouldn't have had the carpetbagger label, it would've been a midterm year with lower turnout, and Markey isn't exactly setting the world on fire. He'd be an underdog still, but would probably have a better chance than he does now in NH.

My guess is that the national GOP desperately needed a candidate for NH, so they convinced him he'd get large infusions of cash and would be a shoo in since NH is much more competitive than MA. He just isn't the brightest crayon in the box.

Had he ran in the Special election that Ed Markey ran in, Brown could have been Senator again.

Wow, is the Boston Globe polling this race every week? This is their 9th poll since June:

It's great! I wish other pollsters would do that for other states, like here in Florida, or up in Georgia/Illinois/Connecticut. Tongue
