But then we wouldn't have Elizabeth Warren...

And we also wouldn't have Scotty making an ass of himself in NH right now. It was for the best. Wink

I haven't been paying close attention to this but why did Brown carpetbag to NH when he probably could have easily beat this woman again for Governor?

He seems to want to be a Senator. That said, moving to New Hampshire was just ridiculous.

I actually think he would've had a better chance at unseating Markey than Shaheen. He was still pretty popular after losing to Warren, he wouldn't have had the carpetbagger label, it would've been a midterm year with lower turnout, and Markey isn't exactly setting the world on fire. He'd be an underdog still, but would probably have a better chance than he does now in NH.

My guess is that the national GOP desperately needed a candidate for NH, so they convinced him he'd get large infusions of cash and would be a shoo in since NH is much more competitive than MA. He just isn't the brightest crayon in the box.
