I think Alaska is a fairly libertarian state, so it's not too surprising that Rand does best.

It's a shame we never got to see Sarah Palin run for President.

Once again, Rand performs best of all the Republican candidates in a general election matchup. When will people recognize that he is not a fringe candidate, but rather probably the best chance Republicans have at winning the White House in 2016 (assuming the nominee isn't someone like Portman or Huntsman)?

Problem is that the establishment is sufficiently allergic to his positions on foreign policy and civil liberties that his nomination could end up tearing the party apart.

Yeah, the reason Rand is doing best among Republicans is because he's not an embodiment of the Republican Party.

Not surprising that Palin is the only Republican losing there.

LOL I know, humor is a beautiful thing in a presidential contest. I know many dems who would just love it.

I think a Palin run would have looked a lot like Perry 2012:

A large, almost built in amount of support as they entered, then a series of poor debate performances, followed by a low place showing in Iowa, then out before South Carolina.

Poll after poll, Alaskans continue to make it known how deeply sorry they are for giving us the half-term quitter.
