Over the last couple of years we've had a lot of Election Games, and while some of them failed to reach the end of the election itself we do have four of them who sucessfully played all the way from the primaries to election night. Since we are bound to have more of these games (and NHI's 2004 Game is close to starting the 2008 cycle), I figured it would be a good idea to store some info on the winner and the other candidates, some of the maps and so forth. I might do some research to include primaries later on, but in the meantime here are the four elections that managed to reach their respective final results:

2000: Quayle vs Daschle:
(with Spiral and Julio Madrid as GM's)

Former Vice-President Dan Quayle (Lumine) / General Colin Powell (NHI) 340 EVs
Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (NewYorkExpress) / Senator Blanche Lincoln 198 EVs

2004: Giuliani vs Biden vs Johnson vs Kucinich
(With NHI as GM)

(R) Vice-President Rudy Giuliani (dkrolga) / Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson: 307 (36.7%)
(D) Senator Joe Biden (badgate) / Senator Blanche Lincoln: 195 (34.8%)
(L) Governor Gary Johnson (MadmanMotley) / Former Governor Jesse Ventura: 21 (14.6%)
(G) Congressman Dennis Kucinich (Spiral) / Congressman Bernie Sanders (Dallasfan): 15 (13.7%)
Other: 0 (0.2%)

2008: Bloomberg vs Dean vs Bloomberg vs Nader
(With Spamage and JulioMadrid as GM)

Mayor Michael Bloomberg (Tmthforu) / Senator Evan Bayh (Clinton1996) 250 EVs
Former Governor Howard Dean (Snowstalker) / Senator Patty Murray (Alfred F. Jones) 239 EVs
Senator John McCain (Oldiesfreak) / Former Governor George Pataki 49 EVs
Mr. Ralph Nader (Superique) / Congressman Dennis Kucinich (Maxwell) 0 EVs

Senate votes:

Evan Bayh 52 votes
Patty Murray 46 votes
Abstentions 2
_____________________________________________________________________

House of Representatives votes:

Michael Bloomberg 241
Howard Dean 152
John McCain 35
Abstentions 7

2012: Ayotte vs Obama vs Ventura:
(With SJoyce and Tmthforu as GM's)

Senator Kelly Ayotte (JerryArkansas) / Governor Chris Christie (Lumine) - 282 Electoral Votes, 45.65% of Popular Vote
President Barack Obama (Clinton1996) / SoS Hillary Clinton (Superique) - 256 Electoral Votes, 43.96% of Popular Vote
Governor Jesse Ventura (Spiral) / Congressman Ron Paul (ChairmanSanchez) - 0 Electoral Votes, 10.32% of Popular Vote

I enjoy these games, but the third party overkill has gotten a bit old. I hope in the 2008 game that follows the Rudy/Biden/Johnson/Kucinich has a fairly "normal" map.

I would hope so, but with Nader, Ventura and Bloomberg I doubt we will have a normal map, xD

I agree - these games put way too much power in the third parties. Is it fun - they can be. But is it realistic - in most cases, no.
