Why didn't you make this ask a Confederate? That would have been much more intresting and, since you know alot about the Confederacy and the Civil War in General, would have been much more informative.

So you'd consider people in southern illinois/indiana/ohio to be yankees, while those in say Northern Virginia, Missouri to be southerners...interesting...especially for the first part.

Well I can't really break the map down by region, sadly. But it really depends on the person and their attitude.

BTW, how come Southern food is so unhealthy? I mean, I know a good deal of it tastes good, but what about the stuff that does not? I mean, canned green beans taste terrible in comparison to fresh or frozen. What's the southern aversion to fresh vegetables about?

Well, they do drag blacks behind their pickup trucks occasionally.  But nowadays they are somewhat restrained by the memory of Federal intervention during the liberal era.  Still, they have the same attitudes and the same culture of hate.
