This poll aside, the polling for Illinois this year has been insane. I honestly have no idea what to think about it. What few polls there are, are simply all over the place. And they're all done by just a few firms.
The only polls I'm really comfortable looking at are the CBS ones, because of enormous sample sizes and more "believable" numbers. But they show Rauner in the low 40s and Quinn in the high 30s, which still leaves an enormous amount of uncertainty as to the rest of the electorate.
Basically, all the Illinois polls are useless! They're either having extreme swings with interesting crosstabs, or they have so many undecideds you can't determine anything.
I think this is the only time I will tolerate the ever-so-overused saying, "The only poll that counts is election day".
Is that why Illinois' job creation rate is currently ahead of the Kingdom of Walker?
