Agreed, they are so hard to poll along with Dakota and Montana.

According to the poll, only 15% of Alaska voters surveyed identified themselves as Democrats and yet Begich manages to attract almost 41% of the electorate already - talk about having cross over appeal.
At least we can't talk about Democrats being overrepresented in this poll. Of those self-identifying with either party, almost 2 out of 3 identified with Republicans.

Here’s a question:

Why is Alaska so hard to poll?  I mean, most people are in the population centers of Anchorage and Juneau, right?  So a big, western state with most of its population in two metro areas—Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, etc.  Why is Alaska so hard?  Is it the sea fishing population that votes absentee and isn’t home to answer the phone?  The native population that doesn’t have telephone service?
