The Cleveland Show was utterly terrible, but regardless, it's the better show in this matchup.

South Park (sane).

I prefer American Dad to South Park though.

Well of course American Dad is better than South Park. Dora the Explorer is superior to the utter garbage that is South Park.

South Park has elements of charm, and had (possibly is, I haven't watched it since I was fifteen) some enormous creative highs (the movie especially is one of my favourite animated movies of all time). These make up for some of its duller elements (absurd heavy-handedness, a grating Moderate Hero tendency, Stan and Kyle becoming audience avatars)

The Cleveland was just consistently mediocre and felt like a money inspired hack-job.

Certainly South Park, although many episodes and topics they try to hit would probably work better as shorts rather than full 30-minute episodes.

I prefer American Dad and Family Guy to South Park though.

South Park by a country mile, though I feel guilty about watching it.

More trolling courtesy of BRTD (inb4 him or PK puts me in the Irony Ore Mine, oh well)

South Park is the correct answer. The Cleveland Show was an abomination.

BRTD, would you really put the The Cleveland show ahead of 90s/early 2000s South Park?

The Cleveland Show is a reskin of American Dad which is a reskin of Family Guy. Some argue that Family Guy is a reskin of The Simpsons.

So South Park wins.

I'm sure if you somehow teleported my middle school self to the time The Cleveland Show was on and made me watch it, I would prefer South Park. Today? Dunno since I haven't watched the old eps in years. I do remember getting sick of South Park right after the movie came out so for early 2000s yes, South Park was hardly much better then than it is now.

South Park by far

I never watched the Cleveland Show. It was ridiculous to give the most boring character on Guy de Familia his own show.

I don't watch South Park as much as I used to, but despite occasionally disagreeing with Parker & Stone's political views (such as the idea that Bush and Kerry were equally awful and neither should be voted for) or the fact that they never made fun of Bush aside from the cancelled due to Massive Patriotism after 9/11 That's My Bush show, its still hilarious most of the time.

That's My Bush was canceled several months before 9/11 so that had nothing to do with it. Also it wasn't a furiously anti-Bush show and actually started my hatred of Stone and Parker.

This, at least regarding post-2002 South Park.

It's weird how close this is.  More than 1 in 7 of us have zero comedic taste?  Seems unlikely.

Rick and Morty says hi, and that's just for adult aimed cartoons.
