Article.

Sandoval (R)- 68%
Goodman (D)- 24%

LG
Hutchinson (R)- 48%
Flores (D)- 37%

AG
Miller (D)- 41%
Laxalt (R)- 30%

SOS
Marshall (D)- 40%
Cegasvke (R)- 34%

The undecideds for the latter two are too high, IMO.

Well as long as we still win AG that's okay.

Sandoval for president? It's about time some pollster test him against Hillary, at least in Nevada. Tongue

The GOP Governor before Sandoval also won re-election with nearly 70%, so it's certainly possible.

Interesting. Though that was before Nevada turned into a heavily Democratic state though. In my opinion, Sandoval definitely looks stronger and more well-positioned than Christie right now. Though Sandoval isn't a bully like Christie, so Christie will still probably do better in a GOP primary.

Btw, this might be a post-Tesla bump for Sandoval.

Sandoval is also pro-choice and relatively pro-gay rights, I mean, I like him too, but in a GOP primary he's basically dead.

If this is correct Sandoval might end up having the highest margin of victory of any governor.

He'd be a great VP pick though.

I thought in 2012 he'd have been the best VP pick for Romney, and I think I was definitely right.

I already voted in this election, and I have to admit that despite voting straight-ticket Democrat in every other race, I had to vote NOTC for governor.  Bob Goodman is a random nobody, and is not running any kind of campaign whatsoever.  I guarantee you that the only reason he 'won' the primary in the first place is because of people in Clark county who probably thought he was related to Oscar and Carolyn.

There is zero attention being paid to the governor's race; instead it's all about the LG and AG races.  I never really thought Lucy Flores had all that much of a shot, but at least this poll makes the AG race more reassuring.  This election will put Miller in a much stronger position to run for governor against Hutchison in 2018.  (I'd be very surprised if he went after Heller's seat instead.)

The GOP Governor before Sandoval lost re-election... to Sandoval.  Wink

Reality check:  The GOP base will never accept a pro-choicer anywhere near the presidential ticket.

How much opposition have you seen from national Republicans to the candidacy of Scott Brown, who not only is pro-choice but favors an assault weapons ban? (Hint: none).

Republican voters are nothing if not tribal. See Pat Robertson's ill-timed endorsement of Rudy Giuliani in 2007. Also see how all the Republicans were hailing Romney as the second coming of Ronald Reagan during the fall of 2012, after his difficult primary performance due to his alleged squishiness.

The reaction amongst the GOP base to Romney's picking a pro-choice VP nominee would be "We told you there's no 'War on Women'!" (Another reason why he'd be an effective choice that year).

The mailer was sent throughout Clark county, so I wouldn't expect them to include whoever is running in the upstate NV-2.  But excluding their nominee for this election's headline statewide race?  LOLOL indeed.

Judging by the way his neck is melting onto his tie, I'd say it's more like clay than plastic.

Speaking of pictures of Nevada politicians, if only Nevada voters were smarter in 2012, we could've had this wonderful and majestic creature around to pad our Senate majority this year. Sad

New theory: every Nevada politician is actually a wax sculpture that's escaped from Madame Tussauds
