Deal 49
Carter 43

Looks like there's been a pretty clear trend toward Deal in the recent polls. Do the Georgia posters have any idea why?

Republicans coming back home would be the most likely answer. Despite the hype here, Georgia is still a Republican state.

Deal's corrupt, but in terms of issues, I probably prefer Governor Deal to Senator Perdue anyway. At least Deal likes prison reform.

Of course he does, he'll need to be a beneficiary of that reform at some point.  The choices in Georgia are terrible. Corrupt Deal vs. a Carter.
