Looking at his website, he say he supports free trade, but he also say that the government should be funded by tariffs. Am I the only that thinks that's a bit of a contradiction?

(Yeah, I know this comment wasn't really relevant at all, but whatever. Tongue)

No, that was for Senate IIRC. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. I only got the tail end of him, I think.

Maybe I am thinking of Mike Assad?

King is right. He had a signature saying "DARRYL W PERRY FOR PRESIDENT 2016" ever since like 2006

I never knew that this guy apparently posted on the Atlas Forum? He might be a little extreme for my tastes, but I would prefer him over generic R's and D's

On another note, interesting how this video showed up in the related video sections

Aside from KY/WV it doesn't look very hackish. Not even giving Hillary Indiana?! Tongue

(Though Texas and Alaska being hard choices was pretty funny)

I think this was shortly after Wendy Davis's (is that the right way to say that?) 13 hour abortion speech which was peak hackishness for me, where I thought that Democrats would be very competitive in Texas in 2014 and 2016. You know it was a pretty moving thing for what she did (and that whole crowd though) and for a very impressionable Flo, I thought that she would mark the beginning of Democratic politics in Texas again.

Alaska was just because of the huge swing to Obama in 2012, and I didn't realize Sarah Palin had such a home state effect back then, I just remember her being a crazy lady, and thought she would've hurt the McCain ticket in 2008.

In the other thread, Simfan reminded us of this post by Mr. Perry:

Can you morons at least pick members of the posters preferred sex?

If I was to pick a female congressman to have an affair with it would be
Mary Landrieu

or
Kirsten Gillibrand

Surely the sort of thing that a future president of the United States wants to say on the record.

Yes.

This year, Mike Assad ran for Congress in my district, but lost the GOP primary to LoBiondo. I saw one of his campaign signs near the Cumberland Mall in Vineland, NJ not too long ago. I think it's still there.

DWTL also ran for some local office in NJ (I don't remember what that office was).

I actually took a picture of it, as a matter of fact:
