From PoliticsPA.com

The Governor’s Election Reform Task Force voted 9-4 today to move the 2008 and 2012 PA Presidential Primaries to the first Tuesday in March. Both chambers of the PA Legislature would still need to pass legislation to move the date.

Fine, if PA wants to do that.  Pretty soon every state will hold their primaries as close to New Hampshire as possible anyway, so I guess it doesn't make much difference.

I think the whole primary system ought to be massively reformed.  But obviously that'll never happen.

Yeah. Give me a Senator with a 13 year voting record any day.

PA is very representative of America in many ways, certainly more than NH or IA. This is a step toward real democracy, if it passes.

Yes it is more representative, but not totally.  You can't really apply Iowan, New Hampshire and Pennsylvanian politics to the nation at large and hope it all works out right.  In fact, no state is truly representative of the nation as a whole.  Real democracy would give no preferential treatment to any state during the primaries.

Yeah. We should have it in December.

You should have had it in December of 2004.  Make sure you are first in the nation!

Wait, that would be the last primary of 2004, so it would be last in the nation! Shocked

Oh, come on folks! What state screams more representative of American demographics than states that are 99% and 98% white?
