I'd expect Bush to perform better in a state full with Country Club Republicans.

Hillary's margin over Romney (which I'll use as a baseline since he should have very high name recognition) is essentially identical to Obama's 2008 and 2012 margins.

Her 58% favorable rating basically matches the % of the vote Obama got in the state in 2008 and 2012 (that assumes everyone who has a neutral opinion of her votes against her, of course).

Not a big surprise. New Jersey is a solid Democratic state.

Well, I think we can agree that New Jersey will almost certainly not be in play.

We are not FULL of country club Repubs, but the Repubs that ARE here tend to be of that category, yes.  Those people do not necessarily hate the Clintons.

Well, I think we can agree that New Jersey will almost certainly not be in play.

It will not.  Christie is far, far past his days of being a very popular governor in this state.  Would you believe that being seen in Jerry Jones' luxury box was rough on his image?  : P

Republicans would be foolish to waste a cent trying to compete in New Jersey regardless of whether Christie or J. Bush is the nominee. G.W. Bush 2004 is probably the strongest any Republican can do in New Jersey, and that year's results were largely the result of a unique 9/11 effect.
