Just out of curiosity, who does the Baltimore Sun polls?

Or does the Baltimore Sun do them themselves.

I'll look into it.  So far I think they've been fairly accurate.  Ehrlich's drop from January can be contributed to a couple scandal's and an unsuccessful year w/ the general assembly.

ok, thanks, I'm just as usual considering it to be another poll to look at among the myriads we always see, but that's the way I am with any poll period.   Smiley

However, I wish the Vorlon was around.  He usually knows the answers to questions like that.

Would you have supported Zell Miller if he was beating Bush in the polls?

Since I actually vote in the state, I can tell you that I will not vote for O'Malley.  Baltimore City is a sh**thole extraordinaire and he may be the most overrated mayor in the country.

With Duncan and Ehrlich, I will have to look at the issues as always before I vote.

He's done some good.  Development is going through the roof.  Everytime I drive through the city theres a new hotel or condominium or skyscraper going up.  Canton has really come along nice and other parts of the city are starting to make a turn for the better.

Guess I don't live in the nice area.  Smiley  Me and BRTD should fit in nicely.  Plus, I don't like his economic policies in general.  As a reminder, I am still a big fan as always of divided government in most affairs and places.

Speaking of being overrated.  A Time magazine article came out yesterday crowning O'Malley one of the top 5 big city mayors in the country.  Wink

I always support the most electable liberal candidate. I bet that was Clark in 2004 and that's who I supported. From what I heard O'Malley is not a DINO.

what do mean? Because I love inner urban areas and hate gentrified suburbs? I guess we have that in common.

Ill take a look at Ehrlich... Realize he has no record to look at or run on...  Close my eyes and vote O'Malley.  You gotta' draw the line somewhere between keeping the Maryland democrats honest and flat out obstructionism.  Ehrlich has obviously leaned towards the latter.

What the hell is so bad about O'Malley? I kinda like him, and I agree with his comments that some have called over-the-top.

I'm actually surprised that Duncan is polling that high given that he doesn't really have name recognition outside Montgomery and O'Malley has gotten a ton of national press.   (Well, not really surprised...probably 25% of MD Dems are from Montgomery).

This will change...Duncan will have plenty of money and institutional support to get his name and record out there.

Although for the record I would have no problem with seeing O'Malley elected over Ehrlich.

Mayor O'Malley has'nt done much about crime, murders keep going up year after year, he can't decide on a police chief, billions are missing from the public school system and he has no idea where the money went, and  he may have a huge skeleton in his closet.

Id prefer Duncan.  The only dirt the GOP has on Duncan is he comes from one of the richest counties in the country (if you call that dirt).  Other than that, he's squeaky clean.

O'Malley is an America hating scumbag. No doubt about that of course. He couldn't pour piss out of a boot with instructions written under the heel.

He's run the city into the ground. Just as every mayor has done since 1964.

I'd rather have a do-nothing Governor than one who will !@#$ things up, which O'Malley would do IMHO.  Don't get me wrong, I still don't like either candidate.
