Gibson is among the most moderate (albeit pro-life) Republican congressmen and seems to be rather popular. Still - Cuomo by 7

If Cuomo got a legitimate opponent, he would probably pound him with ads.

Still, I think Gibson would've been within 10 nevertheless. 2018 will be interesting to see (especially if Hillary is President) if a non-Astorino type jumps in the race and Cuomo goes for a third term.
