The past few days, we've been getting a lot of early figures as to campaign warchests.  Some have been posted here already (specifically Sen. Allen and Sen. Talent).  A few more are below:

Santorum finishes with $3M in the bank
By Matthew Hall and Peter Savodnik

Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.), facing a tough challenge in his bid for a third term next year, finished the first quarter of 2005 with approximately $3 million in the bank, a Santorum aide said yesterday.

John Brabender, Santorum’s media consultant, said the money Santorum raised in the three-month period — which was not known at press time — was either the most or nearly the most he had ever raised in a three-month period.

In 2000, Santorum spent more than $12.9 million to get reelected. In 2006, he will face Democratic state Treasurer Bob Casey.

Many Democrats consider Casey a formidable candidate because he has extensive electoral experience and, as an abortion-rights foe, is expected to neutralize much of Santorum’s appeal to conservatives.

“Right after Bobby Casey announced, contributions went up quite a bit,” Brabender said. Referring to a recent trip to Philadelphia by the new Democratic National Committee chairman, Brabender added: “Then, after Howard Dean came to town, campaigning for Bobby Casey, contributions went way up.” (end excerpt)

Nelson amasses $1.5 million in the bank

Democrat Ben Nelson has amassed a $1.5 million war chest to defend his U.S. Senate seat next year, but potential Republican opponents say his money won't affect whether they will run.

Nelson raised $516,000 in the first three months of this year, according to federal campaign finance reports filed Friday.

His total bankroll is now more than half the $2.7 million he spent in 2000, when he defeated Republican Don Stenberg.

Democrat Nelson is expected to face tough competition in 2006. Several Republicans are eyeing the race, including Omaha businessman Kerry Winterer, Omaha attorney David Kramer and Stenberg, a former state attorney general.

None of the three Republicans has formally entered the race. Nelson has not officially announced for re-election but says he will make an announcement later this year. (end excerpt)

Stabenow has $2.8 million heading into re-election campaign

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., reported more than $2.8 million on hand in her campaign finance report Wednesday, opening a busy year of fund-raising before her re-election campaign.

Stabenow collected slightly more than $1 million during the first three months of the year, and enters the spring with a sizable bankroll as several Republicans begin the process of mounting a campaign to defeat her.

Stabenow officials did not immediately release the campaign's expenditures for the quarter, but the fund-raising totals underscore her preparation for the 2006 campaign. At this time last year, the first-term senator had about $1.35 million on hand. (end excerpt)

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Candidates in Rhode Island’s 2006 Senate race are off to a strong start when it comes to fund-raising.

Since announcing his candidacy on February Third, Secretary of State Matt Brown more than half a (m) million dollars.

He’s challenging Republican Senator Lincoln Chafee, who raised just over 136-thousand dollars during the same period from January First through March 31st.

According to The Providence Journal, after expenses, Brown had almost 400-thousand dollars left, while Chafee had 765-thousand of the more than one (m) million dollars he had amassed since he last faced the voters in 2000. (end excerpt)
