Wow. I especially dig that more likely is an option and that 6 percent opted for it

If I answered this poll I would've said more likely just to troll them.

Yet another poll showing Clinton dominating, and yet another poll that the concern troll hacks at the thoroughly discredited 538 will ignore.

There's a funny gem in here, Fox polled Hilary and Jeb in 2004 and 2006, which they included in the polling history in the report.

Well, Dukakis also led Bush by 17 points in June 1988. Tongue The bottom line is that early polls don't tell us much.

Mike Dukakis was the challenger against unpopular incumbency in Reagan who rebounded late and became a 60% approval President.. This is Hillary at a Democratic low-point.

Doesn't that make this a push poll?

No, this question was asked after the head to head match ups.

From what I understand, that doesn't matter.

I don't think this would qualify as one since their goal was to get results for the poll, not contact tons of voters to tell them about BENGHAZI!!!!! As already stated, since they asked the head to heads first it wouldn't effect those results either.

I think not. Push polls are all about what is being sent out, not what is coming in. So the bill fits here, even if it's an odd case.

But let's nominate Elizabeth Warren "for the cause" and lose by double digits. That'll be better in the long run.

Well, arguably, if you wanted to change the direction of the Democratic party and were a True LiberalTM then a Goldwater-esque candidacy by Warren would be a positive.

I don't think the public wants another Bush, but even so, along with Christie, Romney, and Walker, they all have ethical challenges. Especially with Jeb on common core.

Jeb may very well be the establishment choice, but I think he's going to have a tougher battle getting the nomination this time around than the "RINO moderates" McCain and Romney did. The base is going to demand that they nominate a true conservative, someone in the Cruz/Paul/Carson circus. They need another "establishment" candidate in there along with Bush to split the establishment vote in order for the "true conservative" to emerge victorious. We, as Democrats, should support that, since a Cruz/Paul/Carson candidate will get annihilated in the Hillslide.

This is not a push poll.  It's totally true that a push poll can ask the question after the top-line numbers, and avoid polluting that sample, while still being a push poll.  However, in that case, taking a regular sample size would be pointless.  Polling only 1,043 people and asking about only one line of negative messaging doesn't make a push poll.  It's a normal poll with one messaging question.

You could argue they should have been even-handed, and asked a positive question about Clinton, or a negative question about the Republicans, but:

1. When a candidate is ahead in the polls by as much as Clinton is, the question is really whether you can find a message that gets traction against them.  They don't really need to test whether Clinton could find traction to get ahead.  She is ahead.

2. There are so many viable Republican candidates, finding a single negative message to test would be difficult.  They could test a negative message on the Republican Party as a whole, but honestly, I can't think of a good one they could do to test a "silver bullet."  I mean, it's not as if there's anti-Republican messaging that people believe would be a silver bullet, but hasn't been used.  Benghazi is (wrongly) considered to be that for Clinton, and that's what the poll was testing.

tl;dr: I think this poll is pretty kosher, and I wouldn't call it a "push poll."

Fine with me, Im rooting for Hillary.

2017-2020 wont be a good time ecoonmically. By that time there will be rising infaltion, rsiing oil prices and rising interest rates. The current expansion will be approaching 10 years old. The Fed having ended QE, will have to reverse and do QT.

In Jan 2017, Hillary will be handed an economy with full employment and a balanced federal budget. By mid 2018, she'll have 8% unemployment and a $2 trillion deficit.

Bush deserves to lose and be humiliated. He deserves to lose FL and do no better with hispanics than Romney did.

There are conservatives who are giddily praying for a devastating economic collapse. Really disgusting.
